I have read the Bible. Cover to cover. That's how I know about the genocides, the slavery, the contradictions, and the failed prophecies.
Studying it more won't make those problems disappear, it makes them more obvious.

Cosmological arguments for God are merely premise laundering: relabel a disputed metaphysical claim as "science," then call it "God". The Big Bang isn’t creation, the BGV Theorem isn’t a beginning, and a "first cause" is simply a manufactured conclusion, not a valid inference.

And an omnipotent God could stop a rape without removing free will (make the rapist's arm go limp).

@Danish_SMF God allowing evil doesn’t make Him evil, it means He permits free choices so real love and justice can exist, and He’ll judge evil in the end. If stopping all evil means stopping all free will, would you still want that world?

The Lucifer story doesn't explain evil, it creates more problems.
Where did his jealousy come from if God made him perfect?
Why would a perfect being feel insecurity?
And if God knew he'd rebel, why create him?

@SpeedWatkins If God has made us in His own image, gifting us both free will and everlasting life, then (a) He must freely allow us to choose evil, and (b) after judgement He consigns us to the hell of everlasting separation. If no child is evil, from where comes adult evil? It must be inborn.

Complexity isn't proof of design.
It's proof of evolution.
We share DNA with chimpanzees, have vestigial organs, and our 'design' is full of flaws (back pain, choking risk, blind spots in vision).
A perfect designer wouldn't do that.
Evolution explains it perfectly.
