@AerLingus When online check-in opened the only seats we could select with the infant icon were in the premium section, why was this the case? Why were there no infant icon seats in the non-premium sections? We have submitted a claim online.

@Jillybeany1 Hi Jillian, you can assign your seats in advance free of charge for all fares. Unless you decide to pick a Saver Fare, then you will have to wait until check-in opens in order to assign seats. You can find out more about travelling with an infant at aerlingus.com/travel-informa…

@AerLingus My husband @harpurace logged in at the 48hr mark when check-in opened to book a seat and all seats for infants were in the premium section. There were no standard seats available, why would this be the case?

@Jillybeany1 Hi Jillian, infants between six months and two years old can sit on an adult’s knee. You may buy a seat for the infant at the appropriate fare. You can assign seats 30 hours before departure- if there are no Standard seats left you can purchase a premium one or one will assigned.

@AerLingus To reiterate my question, why as a passenger travelling with an infant was I not able to select a seat free of charge when check-in opened? I was only able@to@select a seat for an infant in the premium area this incurring an extra charge.

@Jillybeany1 All passengers onboard have a seat as guests as they are unable to stand during the duration of the flight. Some guests will purchase a fare where they can assign their seat when they make the booking, others will choose to assign a seat free of charge when check-in opens.

@AerLingus I have not submitted a claim as I was not aware of this process but shouldn’t have to do this as I should not have been financially penalised for travelling with an infant. My main concern is as to WHY passengers with infants are being charged to have a seat on the plane?

@AerLingus Booking Reference was 26IHKN. Fee charged for 3 seats highlighted below. My husband & our infant were required to choose a premium seat in order to check-in for the flight.

@AerLingus I was forced to pay for a premium seat on the flight as there were no regular seats available for infants even though I tried to check in at the 48hr mark. Very poor form forcing families to pay more money after flights have been purchased.

@AerLingus Have sent my query via messenger. Will this be answered considering it does not apparently fit the criteria of anything in the menu selection?

@Luas Can you please advise how those of us who need to avail of lifts are expected to use the service presently with 4 locations on the green line out of service? Paying a full price fare for 1/2 service seems unreasonable?

@Luas Charelmont lift out of order but not reported on app. Lift Maintenace at Ranelagh. How are those of us who need lift supposed to use service in the area today? I was left stranded at Charlemont with buggy at 10.30am.
