Obama has the worst character of all, possibly, excepting Jackson. Pushed into politics by literal murdering terrorist bombers, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn. Raised in Reverend Wright’s horrific “church.” Mentored by radicals. Wrecked the American healthcare system through lies designed to conceal that Obamacare was intended to trash medical care for the 75% of the population that had good insurance in order to provide more coverage for the rest. Literally promised the premier of Russia on videotape that he would be more accommodating of Russia once he got past those pesky voters for reelection. (Talk about foreign assets.) Hated the American system (“sometimes you’ve made enough money.“) until it made his family mega millionaires. Routinely droned Americans, and foreigners overseas. (Biden knowingly flooded the country with 15 million illegals, knowing how much damage that would do on so many levels, solely to enhance his party’s power. He knew he was crushing black families and their hopes for good schools and jobs for their kids. Arguably one of the worst racists to be in office since FDR.) Obama: Incredibly smooth, makes a great appearance, and a nasty, nasty piece of work. Trump is hardly an example of probity. Some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is horrifying. But directionally he’s genuinely trying to do the right thing. It still fascinates me that he was literally beloved in democratic circles all the way up to the moment that he decided to run for president as a republican. When he did that, he was transformed into Satan by the press and his former party. Still the same guy, though:

BREAKING: Iran has formally submitted its four "red lines" for peace talks with the US today, per Iranian state TV: 1. Authority over the Strait of Hormuz 2. Payment of war reparations 3. Unfreezing of all blocked Iranian financial assets 4. Securing a comprehensive regional ceasefire In-person negotiations are ongoing as we speak.

Former US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said on Friday that military force cannot bring about regime change, arguing that bombing campaigns do not produce lasting political outcomes. “I think we’ve understood for a long time that you cannot bomb your way to a change in regime,” Panetta said in comments to Bloomberg. “With all sides now exhausted, there is now an opportunity to pursue a ceasefire.” Panetta said that, based on historical examples including Vietnam, past conflicts have shown that military strikes alone cannot quickly or decisively change a country’s leadership.

@Pontifex Perhaps the church should liquidate half of its wealth and distribute it among the poor? After all, you personally control hundreds of billions of dollars of valuable assets. Surely they can be put to better use.

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

@RepMariaSalazar We were lied to about the Reagan amnesty with the assurance that there would be no more amnesties and vigorous enforcement going forward. We got the amnesty. We didn’t get enforcement. So everything you say is utter hog wash. And your bill would kill our country.

No it won’t. It actually locks in permanent enforcement measures (border security, mandatory E-verify, and ends catch and release for asylum seekers). None of these are currently codified in law, and until they are, they can keep being changed by the Executive. And therefore border and enforcement policy will keep changing whenever the White House changes. Participants in Dignity Program (not Amnesty) cannot become citizens and therefore cannot vote. The bill actually increases penalties for any illegal or non-citizen caught voting or attempting to vote, as well as for attempted border re-crossers, child sex traffickers, etc.
MOMof DataRepublican@data_republican

Do you know what will happen if Salazar's amnesty bill is passed and signed by President Trump? It will eventually cause even more illegal migration because it will further expectations of serial amnesty. All these new "legal" citizens will soon be voting. It will be adding millions to the social security and Medicare programs which is already in jeopardy. It rewards lawlessness. I'm a hard "NO" on this.

NEW: President Trump has turned the immigration courts into part of his vast deportation machine by pressuring judges to deny people asylum and firing those who do not comply. The asylum rate has fallen to its lowest rate in decades.

The leaders of these countries have released a joint statement on the situation in Iran which includes a call to end the war. France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Romania, Denmark, Iceland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Slovakia, Greece, Spain, Norway, Finland, Japan, along with the European Union. “We welcome the two-week ceasefire concluded between the United States and Iran today.  We thank Pakistan and all partners involved for facilitating this important agreement. The goal must now be to negotiate a swift and lasting end to the war within the coming days. This can only be achieved through diplomatic means. We strongly encourage quick progress towards a substantive negotiated settlement.  This will be crucial to protect the civilian population of Iran and ensure security in the region. It can avert a severe global energy crisis. We support these diplomatic efforts. To this end, we are in close contact with the United States and other partners. We call upon all sides to implement the ceasefire, including in Lebanon. Our Governments will contribute to ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.” Signed By: Emmanuel Macron — France Giorgia Meloni — Italy Friedrich Merz — Germany Keir Starmer — United Kingdom Mark Carney — Canada Nicusor Dan — Romania Mette Frederiksen — Denmark Bjarni Benediktsson Frostadóttir — Iceland Rob Jetten — Netherlands Ulf Kristersson — Sweden Michal Šimečka — Slovakia Kyriakos Mitsotakis — Greece Pedro Sánchez — Spain Jonas Gahr Støre — Norway Alexander Stubb — Finland Sanae Takaichi — Japan Ursula von der Leyen — European Commission (EU) Antonio Costa — European Council (EU)

I have not seen a single mainstream media outlet give this the attention it deserves. Israel blew up an entire Lebanese town, an ancient place. It should be headline news. There’s footage of it happening. Imagine this was your town, and you saw every building blown up by a terrorist army to prevent you from ever returning. You would at the very least expect wall to wall coverage. Instead it passes without a word. It’s not the only town Israel has blown up. And sadly it probably won’t be the last.

@corey_gman @AnnCoulter @nytimes What a dumb take. My whole point is that NYT is quite biased, publishes BS rumor mongering constantly as long as it is anti-Trump, and that no one-- least of all Ann-- should cite it as "evidence" of anything.

Every single Trump advisor is now - off the record - telling the @nytimes they were opposed Netanyahu's argument for the Iran war. THAT'S how well the war is going. Ratcliffe: "Farcical." Rubio: “It’s bullshit” Caine: "Standard operating procedure for the Israelis. They oversell." Wiles: against "being dragged into another war in the Middle East." Cheung: "How would they explain away eight months of insisting that Iranian nuclear facilities had been totally obliterated?"

Quite the idiotic take. They've fired tens of thousands of rockets from "their land"-- in defiance of UN resolutions. They're stilll firing. Israel is entitled to stop the threat. Just like we could "invade Mexico" if hundreds of rockets were being fired from a few miles across the border into Southern CA or TX.

This is beyond bizarre. A sitting VP of the USA attacking our close allies in Europe (you know, those bureaucrats in Brussels!) in a stump speech for a self-described illiberal politician that has the support of Putin. The Republican Party I grew up with would cringe at any American politician doing this, let alone a Republican!
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

Vance is 100% spot on. Western civilization is dying in most of western Europe. Brussels EU bureaucracy exemplifies the rot. Many of our "close allies" just refused to let us even fly over their airspace to address a regime that terrorizes the Middle East and much of the world. Some "allies."
