Pro tip: As an artist, you have no competition. None of your listeners are listening to you INSTEAD of someone else—they’re listening to whatever resonates with them, which includes the “competition.” Quit fantasizing.

YouTube Studio is launching its own outlier tool. Research tab showing which videos in your niche over performed the channels average. Google needed this 2 years ago when outliers were relevant. Once every creator can see the same metric, the metric stops being an advantage. Outliers are dead. View to sub ratio matters more now.

@JohnDijonCarey You'd think so. The reason why they are making fewer movies with bigger budgets is that it costs about the same to market a $10M film as a $100M one. The real solution is a little simpler: make better movies and people will pay to see them

Big budget movies crashing, as low budget films bring in bank. Make more smaller movies. Ten to twenty movies for the price of one big budget failure is likely to pay off in the long run, if not sooner.
