@cine_files @TheRochaSays @srmorris I liked it more on the second viewing. Something about the atmosphere, I can't put my finger on it. Probably just because I had more headspace to admire and appreciate the acting, which I think is its best feature. Not my favorite Tarantino, but a great experience nonetheless.

@sdorward @PaulFricker I think the stars very much aligned this year; jumping into the ttrpg hobby and GMing first CoC scenarios, going for long bike tours and needing something to listen to, and rekindling my love for atmo movies and weird fiction. If I get a raise this year, you get a new patron :)

@sdorward @PaulFricker I kinda listened to 4500 minutes of the good friends this year. Spotify was kind enough to let me know. I feel kind of pointed out but am also grateful for the entertainment and knowledge I gained from that. Hugs from Germany!

@cine_files I think I watched it first back in school, it was shown in a course about "English speaking countries as background in feature films" (am from Germany). Loved it, especially the acting! Everyone's one their a-game here! And really funny to see Alex Jennings in the Crown again!

The number of people who can watch my videos, especially the ones specifically about Call of Cthulhu, Kult, Traveller, etc. and think I'm talking about D&D is kind of amazing.

@JimCostelloG I also enjoyed 30 Coins on HBO (save for the Nyarlathotep cameo). For movies, I always recommend Rosemary's Baby and The 9th Gate. There's also The Devil Rides Out. Decent movie, but the book is far far better.

Finished The Devil in Ohio. Always enjoy a good Satanic cult story. Sadly this wasn't one of them. Could have been a good 2-hour movie, but spread to 8 hours and filled with empty "suspenseful" scares, it just felt bloated. Liked the cult, though.

@SSkorkowsky took me a couple of days, finished it today. absolutely. loved. it. Thanks for the recommendation! ending was not my favourite, but fantastic story all the way! really felt like a call of cthulhu module, with all the investigation and adventuring. thanks, seth! anything else? :D

@JimCostelloG At the moment, my favorite watchable cult is 'Archive 81'. Watched it twice and and loved it both times.
