You never know, maybe @LydiaHislop was onto something @CheltenhamRaces Clearly races were a huge gamble after trials day and now many owners and trainers are left in the lurch with zero notice.

@OverandClear Braindead logic isn't it. Higher weights have a great record in the race, top weight won 3/last 8, mean of 3lb off top weight carried to win in that time. Nothing ever carried more than 9lb off top weight with median of 4lb off in the history of the race

@Moray_Smith I'd say pretty lengthy odds, especially with the chance to reassess after Eachtotheirown's win the other day who IHRB have stuck up to 137, was 19l behind TPW in Royal Bond. Also would expect BHA to take particularly harsh view on a, visually striking, performance like today

@JimLaker6 Great spot, Jimbo. I missed that. If you take the view that he ran to the same form as his run in the Royal Bond then the handicapper may leave him alone, but how likely is that .....

The Passing Wife has no Grade 1 entries at Cheltenham but that's 4 hurdles races now. Interested to see what the handicapper makes of today. He was 136 but is likely to go up a few pounds. He needs intermediate distances so Martin Pipe or Coral Cup perhaps? One more run needed.

This is such a difficult problem. The ball is travelling at about 75-80mph in one direction, the bat is travelling at high velocity in another. Snicko has to work for all possible velocities of each, in all possible lighting conditions, using just video and sound.
