After reading her book I still feel that way.
I assume there were a few saboteurs on the campaign.
Someone that could tweak internal numbers so she wouldn't seek recounts/forensic audits.

No campaign should employ David Plouffe in any capacity. His series of disastrous interventions the last decade is utterly career ending.

The issue here is you can do the exact opposite positioning.
Cuomo was a centrist who barely got 40% of the vote, a much lower vote share than Democrats usually do in NYC.
Therefore, centrism is politically toxic and soundly rejected by voters.
