@amcking1971 @RichardArion1 You are quite presumptuous to think this matter is settled. It’s far from it, and every time one of you frauds attempt to chest beat like you’ve won anything, it hastens the end of it all. Nepotistic hiring pipelines can protect you for a while, until they can’t.

@RichardArion1 If you were less retarded and more knowledge maybe they wouldn’t be taking all the jobs. You literally talk like some costal liberal with very little brain on the eve of Trump 2016. Seeing the devolution of the white man to “we wuz” is sad, like seeing a dying lion

It is not funny. Indians act like this because the higher castes were the first to immigrate and they are acting like this because it is how they treat the lower castes. They think we are lower castes to be conquered. Kamala Harris is in fact the first Indian presidential candidate who is a direct descendant of the Brahmin. She was just quiet about because she knew how bad a high ranking foreign aristocratic family having the presidency looks like.
Eli Harman@MartianHoplite

Indians doubling and tripling down on arrogance, resentment, and entitlement in response to growing anti-Indian sentiment will never not be funny.

Yeah but this is a bait and switch. When Americans are asked about skilled immigration they think they’re getting German rocket engineers, not middling IT Indians who trash the streets. You’re arguing because Americans would allow the former they voted for the latter.
Dilan Esper@dilanesper

whenever i do a pro-immigration thread someone chimes in that "people voted for this". no. People voted for border control. They didn't vote to exclude skilled workers.

H-1B was built in 1990 when your “talent pool” was whoever could drive to your office. There was no Zoom. No remote. Three decades later, that excuse is dead. We’re laying off tech workers en masse. If your pitch is “not one American can do this so we need the visa,” that's not a shortage, that's a discount.

@u_ringingbells @SaraGonzalesTX It’s not just the corporations. This is national strategy of India we are fighting against. They actively push these immigration policies in deals they make with other countries. They view the west as their ticket out the poverty the vast majority of them live in.

@SaraGonzalesTX As much as I don't want the USA overrun by foreigners, remember that the Indians who apply for H-1b are people too. Some of them are committing suicide. Remember that the corporations are the one's who did this to both American Citizens and the Foreigners. Have reasonable empathy

I lost my job to Indian offshore. The crazy thing is that they had me train 10 people from India before telling me my position was cut. They asked me to pick 3 who could do my job. I had to inform them that all 10 couldn't do my job. I don't know how their education system works, but it seems to me that they only memorize nomenclature. 99% of the Indians I've worked with can't understand technology from end to end. I created Business Intelligence software that made my company very valuable. They sold for much more than the company was worth, and the new company was clear that it was because of my software. The new company had no idea that I had single handedly created it, and they didn't care. Here's what's worse! After my position was cut, for more than two years EVERY SINGLE tech recruiter I talked to was Indian. They not only took over a good number of our tech jobs, they took over tech recruiting so they could place people from India in the open positions. I came to find that my interviews were only for appearances. An Indian was already chosen for each job before I interviewed. Now, before you go calling me bigoted for these comments, you should know that I'm Indian... Native American to be exact, and I'm a disabled veteran.

If you start a company on a TEMPORARY NON-RESIDENT visa, that risk is on you We're tired of seeing our immigration system be twisted and abused to serve the interests of immigrants, rather than the interests of the American people
Rasty Turek@synopsi

This is insanely stupid. I waited 24 months for my green card. I would’ve to go back for 2 years, while paying two rents, paying two sets of taxes and somehow figuring out how to run my company from 6,000 miles away. This terrible decision will have very bad ramifications.

If I had to go home to convert my O-1 genius visa into a greencard, it would completely derail my career. Not even worth applying at that point. The process for a greencard is 1 to 2 years. The O-1 lasts 2 to 3 years. Just say you don’t want high skill immigration

I have no ancestors known to me that arrived after 1776 and I’ve done extensive family history (much of which I post on my account). I am not rare, this is normal for Southerners. We are not related to the Ellis Island folks.
Nick Gerteis@nickgerteis

@AppyOrtho So your entire family tree solely traces back to ancestors that were here before 1776? Not just many of them, or most of them—all of them? That is not impossible, but it would be extremely rare and quite frankly unlikely.

Making legal immigrants who want green cards leave US for 1-3+ yrs could hit hardest in states with the most people & fastest growth. The map shows areas of highest impact - CA, NY, FL, TX, NV, AZ (New policy doesn't affect *all* immigrants, so %s do overstate impact by state)

The new White House policy requiring green card applicants to apply from outside the US is a capricious attack on legal immigration. It will hurt families, leave us with fewer doctors, teachers and scientists, and hurt American competitiveness in AI.

This year’s H-1B season is wrapping up, and we’re seeing great results from @POTUS’ new policies that prioritize America First! Stay tuned for more updates, but here’s what we’re seeing so far: ✅More top talent: We’re approving more applicants with advanced degrees and higher salaries—especially those who studied at U.S. universities. An overwhelming 71.5% of selected aliens hold a U.S. master’s degree or higher, compared to 57% last year. ✅Stronger workforce: These skilled workers are making a real impact on our economy and we’re closing the door on the low-wage and low-skilled foreign labor pipeline approved under Biden administration policies. This year, only 17.7% of all selected registrations were in the lowest wage category. ✅Restoring integrity: The number of properly submitted registrations plummeted by 38.5%, from 343,981 in fiscal year 2026 to just 211,600 in fiscal year 2027. This data is a clear sign that the days of abusing the program with mass, low-wage registrations are over, and that the program is better serving its intended purpose of attracting highly skilled foreign workers and protecting the wages, working conditions, and job opportunities of American workers. More details coming soon!

Intel is no longer the company of its founders, Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore, but of Malaysian-born Lip-Bu Tan, its CEO since March 2025. Microsoft is led by Satya Nadella; Alphabet Inc. by Sundar Pichai; Adobe by Shantanu Narayen; IBM by Arvind Krishna; YouTube by Neal Mohan; and T-Mobile US by Srinivas Gopalan – all of whom were born in India.  Read my latest for Real Clear Politics on the H-1B visa program. realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2026/…
