@LittleFerryPS in New Jersey concluded their #iReady March Madness tournament last week and we celebrated the winners today. Team Princeton came in First Place🥇and Team Purdue came in Second Place🥈. We celebrated the students with certificates and a special Snargg appearance!

@MrsMCEDU @wkrakower We are doing the SIOP training through Stockton as a district. Really excited for how it will support ELLs and ALL learners too.

@wkrakower A3: so many of the best practices in teaching can be found from reading the SIOP books or taking a SIOP class. Scaffolded instruction is the answer for so many things! #satchat

Q3: What resources, educational theorists, or authors can you recommend to help educators with helping students retain information? #satchat

@ElemCoach @ScottRRocco We are starting to dig into Edulastic as a district now too. Excited for the standards link and testing link. Therefore not teaching to the test, teaching to the standards while preparing for the test.

@ScottRRocco A2 with time this has become easier to do. Pear Deck and Google Slides can be combined to deliver mini lessons. Edulastic and Edpuzzle can be utilized to CFU via entrance or exit slips. There’s so much tech that could help students learn and tchrs see the data #satchat

A3: To me conferring is key so “How’s It Going” by Carl Anderson is the best. Simple question, but leads to understanding your Ss needs #satchat

A2: any tech that turns Ss into Ts so that they take ownership of their learning! Creating Google slides, #kahoot, #blooket, #flipgrid, #screencastify #satchat

@EvolvingEd A1: I use stations and every type of movement I can think of... four corners, conga line, etc. #satchat

A1: I believe the most important strategy is conferring during students’ independent practice. You become the doctor diagnosing what the students need! I also loved a cheesy joke, rhyme, or song to go with that learning. This applied PK-8. The MS Ss remember cheesy too. #satchat
