“If it fails to raise new funds” was a very important quote that was definitely not left out of this post on purpose. Everybody knows what happens when something needs funding and doesn’t get it. There is only one option, not really any news here.

🚨🏌️💸 #FUNDRAISER — @axios is reporting that LIV Golf is needing to raise up to $250M from new investors and hopes to be profitable within 20 months if funding is secured. It also could raise significantly less ($150 million) and bank on rising team values and a new media rights deal. LIV has until the start of October to raise funds before their PIF $ runs out. Do you think LIV secure the funds and continue on past 2026?

I, for one, cannot believe that Lee Westwood—a man who sits on Twitter all day looking to pick fights over every perceived slight not only to himself but to others (simp!)—did not have the intestinal fortitude to ever win a major championship. Meanwhile, he had to sit and watch (we all know he was glued just like all the other LIV weirdos who say they aren't) as a fellow countryman and relative unknown to the casual golf fan, Aaron Rai, just put his head down and went to work at Aronimink on Sunday, achieving something he'll never achieve despite not having anywhere near the talent Westwood possessed in his prime. Just an unbelievably tough scene.
