in high school during the same-sex marriage plebiscite our Chinese teacher told us that up until recently she "didn't know such a thing was possible" (same sex attraction) but she voted Yes because her most academically diligent student was gay so that made her like gay people

I loathe government bailouts, but letting Spirit Airlines close is a tremendous blunder by the Trump administration. It’s going to be even harder for lower-income people to get flights without Spirit as an option. A lot of Americans are scrambling today with another unnecessary crisis.

The reason the NFL doesn't have as big of a tanking problem is because the safety risks built into the game of football force a certain level of self-seriousness/competence at the low end that NBA basketball doesn't require.
