The Bengals went against every narrative we give them about EDGE rushers. Cashius Howell is a historically small, older EDGE with an ELITE analytical profile. This is a bet on production over traits. He knows how to win as a rusher but the size and age is the risk.

Cashius Howell is a very fun pass rusher who is great with his hands! This is a very different player from what the Bengals have selected at EDGE before.

Hard to get past how different Howell is as a style of player compared what the #Bengals have gone for. His versatility and speed getting after the passer is a tool they just didn't have. This from The Beast: "Overall, Howell needs to expand the consistency of his impact beyond winning as a high-side rusher, but his athletic twitch, play speed and violent demeanor make for the type of package you bet on at the position. At worst, he should be a designated pass rusher, with the ceiling of a versatile NFL starter (like Haason Reddick) who can be moved around the front."

Contreras has been great, Abreu & Cedanne are awesome, Mayer is a good fielder, Story can be (should be a 2B)
