I feel like Peltoa is a good example of people on the Left being pragmatic. The vast majority of the left was happy to see her run despite her being a conservative Dem in a lot of ways because they know she’s one of the few (if not only Dem) with a chance of winning in Alaska.

@ms8955a I think Pelota is a good candidate maybe PARTLY due to her more moderate politics, but it’s more so her being a known and respected figure to the people in her state. I don’t think KY, WV, or IA have a similar figure on the Dem side.

@Bucks_Breakdown Only thing I think it would change is you might add another year to some players contracts so that they aren’t expiring. Though I don’t really see a situation where you would want to protect a player but not give them a multi year deal anyway.
