@ProfessorDiggs Now you’re getting me in my feels @ProfessorDiggs. Several of my sports media icons all in one room. You, @NickHarrisFWST ,@Kyle_Youmans and of course the bleeders @EricChiofalo and @ZachWolchuk . One only knows the the combined hours of content Ive listened to from these voices.

Back in 2018 and 2019, the Cowboys put up a show called Friday Night Stars which I got to go be on every now and then. Now, we've got two of the cohosts with their own show on 105.3, one is now the voice of the Baltimore Ravens, and the other is just iconic and still does high school football stuff. And the guy who rotated with me as a recurring guest is now the lead writer of the Cowboys for the Star Telegram. Not too shabby.

Here’s what @TrevinWax argues re: removing churches with women pastors. Ask the UMC how well that worked out. Or the PCUSA. Here is what scripture teaches, a little leaven leavens the lump. The argument in scripture is not to keep the disobedient in fellowship so you can “win them back.” In fact, scripture says just the opposite. Remove them so that they might feel some loss from the alienation and repent. But so often our leaders don’t rely on scripture for how to handle these issues because that could seem mean and could cost them money or power from those put out of the fellowship. So they just use arguments based on what will seem nice in our culture.

This is the problem with school districts letting local fanatics rather than professional broadcasters call games. Put headsets on two parents or huge homers with no filters and this is what you’re going to get.

I definitely agree Harrell is due for a move to the larger school ranks I just wonder with alignment coming out pretty favorably for Athens, would he jump to a tough district. He definitely lost a lot due to grad though. That would be quite the jump for Castorena

Thanks Jarrin, that's a worthwhile caution. I disagree of course. And part of the reason I disagree is because we lost $13 million, much of which came from tithes, for nothing but a politically motivated crusade that amounted to nothing. And several of the men behind it were hypocritically guilty of the very thing they accused innocent men of. That is a massive stain that the SBC establishment just wants to move on from now. I don't think that's right. I think we should have accountability. So when someone in SBC leadership (virtually the only woman the SBC still regularly promotes) is suddenly opining that we should just report to the police, of course I have to ask her why she would not have shared that opinion when it might have meant something.

Cold take: Churches need to know & abide by mandatory reporting requirements. In TX every adult is a mandatory reporter. The same is true for FL and 16 other states. If you report, your name is not entered into the public record. Failure to report can result in criminal charges.

@megbasham @BillyTricky @jenniferwilkin @megbasham I appreciate what you do in a lot of ways but I think it’s getting more common where your observations go from helpful to hurtful to the Bride. Similar to the style of Julie Roys but on the opposite side of things. Im grateful for a lot of what you’ve done. Be well.
