Sitting in my dentists office and listening to the receptionist explain to someone on the phone that they aren’t accepting patients on the new federal dental plan, is very interesting. Says that they are still waiting for details from the federal government about fees.

Coverage of contraception is interesting - there are unique features that warrant public coverage. Unfortunately, access to contraception is still stigmatized. Think about a young person on their parents plan who might not want to say "mum, where's our drug card" #pharmacare

2/ When it comes to contraception, there are special considerations regarding access that warrant broad public coverage. Happy to see that being acknowledged in the deal. CPhA has long advocated for better contraception access and care.

There are so many people who are affected but our heartfelt thoughts to our pharmacy teams that are dealing not only with the potential danger to themselves and their homes but also doing their best to help their patients.

As an organization, we've worked extremely hard to keep this issue front and centre with governments so this is an important step in addressing this issue. Super proud of the @CPhAAPhC team for the role we've played to make this happen!

Drug shortages have hit 🇨🇦 families & pharmacies hard this past year. We're pleased the Govt has recognized this important issue & we look forward to participating in upcoming roundtables to discuss solutions to help prevent shortages & better deal with them when they do happen.

Some advice for people calling customer service at ANY company- even if the call is going well, note the name of the person you are speaking to, and the time you spend on hold. You WILL need it later when the next person you speak to has no idea what you're talking about.

Hate to do this on SM but I've been on hold with @RBC for 1.5 hours, spoken to 5 different people, just to activate a benefit for their fancy Visa Privilege card. Turns out, even if you pay for extra services, it worthless.
