@BCMFromtheLabs Thanks for @JobLopezRF to invite me and Wen-Hsiang Chen (not on twitter) to give talk there. @AlexKneubehl , you asked a great question! Hope you like those birds in my talk

excited to publish an approach to amplify entire tick mitochondrial genomes and sequence them for ~$10/sample. cost effective approach for phylogenetic studies that should be applicable across different taxa. Good job @AlexKneubehl nature.com/articles/s4159…

@BStevensonLab @LymeScience I am not up to date on this subject and could use help. Ticks acquired spirochetes but the bacteria could not be cultured. How were bacteria detected in ticks and does that mean spirochetes were viable in enough densities to be acquired by ticks and then detected in ticks?
English

@LymeScience Outliers, in my opinion. But these observations need to be addressed, and not ignored. B burgdorferi have been acquired by feeding ticks on antibiotic-treated humans and lab animals. But they were uniformly non-culturable. Loss of essential genes may explain that phenomenon.

@NianticHelp @PokemonGoApp What about the serval research with battling with your buddy. Is there a glitch because I’m doing battles but I’m not getting the reward. I’ve even given my buddy treats and he’s adventuring with me.

Trainers, a visual bug is causing Pokémon attracted to Incense and Lures to appear after they have already fled from the Map. We are working on resolving this issue, thanks for your patience. #PokemonGO

@AlexKneubehl @nanopore Congrats, Alex. This has been something I’ve wanted to do for years and you did a really good job with this project.

@AAFaccini @AlexKneubehl Thank you. I was happy to get that report out.

Great manuscript! @AlexKneubehl @JobLopezRF”serum from patients with early and disseminated LD do not cross-react with rBipA from B. turicatae, B. parkeri, and B. hermsii. This is important in regions where Lyme borreliosis is being diagnosed but epidemiological support is absent

@DrAdrianaTroyo @JodyBugsMeUNL From the different people I talked to they seem to be biting people but I don’t know if they’re having reactions. I emailed you a little bit ago with some ideas
English

@JodyBugsMeUNL @JobLopezRF Have they been biting people and are they getting allergic reactions?

Enjoying giving a training exercise for the Texas health department this week on collecting soft ticks in Austin parks. It’s also fun working and hanging out with @Budetlanin and @AlexKneubehl in the field. Where’s Waldo?
