@ArchbishopSarah Such acts have no place in any society! Where was the CofE’s condemnation of Israeli attacks on Palestinian ambulances and paramedics in Gaza? The CofE are very good at showing their prayerful support for the Jewish community but not so good at supporting Arab communities.

My prayers are with the Jewish community after the appalling antisemitic attack on Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green. Such acts of violence, hatred and intimidation have no place in our society.

Here’s Rory Stewart talking a lot of sense about the Iran war: “We need to get out immediately. Every day this continues, it gets closer to a global economic meltdown and closer to a much bigger conflict and the beginnings of a third world war.”

My best friend is Muslim, and she has been fasting. I’m not a Muslim, and I don’t. We joke about it. She’s going to a white CoE funeral, and calls me to ask what the norms are and what to wear and say. This summer, I’ll be going to a family wedding with her and asking the same. Because that’s integration. That’s how you build a society that works. We don’t all have to be the same. We just need to have policies that allow for proper mixing and insight.

This is the UK we know and love and most of us were raised in.
