🚨🚨 $JOBY Joby Aero - FCC Docket 0426-EX-ST-2026 This document is a Special Temporary Authorization granted by the Federal Communications Commission to Joby Aero, Inc. The primary regulatory purpose is to permit experimental radio operations to support the testing and development of autonomous cargo aircraft technology. The authorization is effective from March 30, 2026, through July 1, 2026. Operations are authorized at the Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona and within a 150-kilometer radius of the site at altitudes reaching up to 70,000 feet. The license covers the 2360 to 2395 MHz frequency band. Technical specifications include a maximum effective radiated power of 48.5 watts for mobile units and 2,433 watts for fixed stations. The grant is subject to several conditions, including mandatory coordination with military and aerospace flight test councils to ensure compatibility with existing spectrum uses. Joby Aero must also coordinate with the Very Large Baseline Array frequency coordinator and provide a designated contact for immediate shutdown if interference occurs. An experimental electric air-taxi was spotted in the skies over Oakland today! The Marina California based Joby aircraft was seen shortly after the Alysa Liu ceremony. The aircraft is undergoing test flights before it receives operational approval. @nbcbayarea
