What do you think globalize the into fade meant? Vibes, papers essays? Hamas mastered the tactic of having terrorists wear "press" badges. It's now hit NYC

“I’m saying fuck Brian Thompson. I don’t give a flying fuck he died,” says Ashley Rojas, wearing her press badge provided by @NYCMayorsOffice. Lena Weissbrot adds that Thompson’s teenage sons “are better off without him” and should “enjoy the blood money.”

The future of journalism? Credentialed members of the NYC press corps came to Luigi Mangione’s hearing today to support the defendant they’re purportedly reporting on and to promote jury nullification “to the most cucked and submissive population in all of human history”

Strikes me as a bizarre ruling, as officers can conduct a reasonable search of a suspect lawfully arrested - including a bag because the guy could have weapons, maybe a bomb, that needs addressing. Luigi had killed someone on the street, proved he was a dangerous fella.
Andrew Kolvet@AndrewKolvet

BREAKING: Judge Carro just ruled the McDonald's backpack search ILLEGAL in the Luigi Mangione case: "There wasn't a search warrant at that time." "So it's the bullet magazine his cell phone, his passport, his wallet, and a computer chip will not be allowed into evidence." The firearm will be allowed into evidence since authorities found it while taking inventory after arriving to the police station.

My house burned down. I lost everything. I can’t rebuild. As a 42 year old man with 2 kids, I’ve had to move into my parents’ house, and I’m getting attacked for that? This is journalism? This is why no decent people ever get into politics. This is why you only have goblins running everything. God help you if you try to make things right for your community…if you lose your entire town, “journalists” mock you for not making your kids sleep in the toxic dirt on your burned out lot. Who raised you, dude?

It honestly feels like X is dying. Every person I follow on here, big or small, is complaining about being suppressed. It’s like they grew their accounts for nothing because none of their followers even sees their posts unless they deliberately target a certain niche. They’ll tell you that your views are up by 25% from last year, but they’re down by 90% from around last June, when they first made the change. It killed everyone’s accounts. Just so happens it’s when a certain person became the head of product. It’s quite frankly bullshit to force people into a box like that. We aren’t content generating machines, and this is SUPPOSED TO BE a social media platform.

JOINT STATEMENT: Stanford Vandalism Trial Decision Risks Dangerous Precedent, Creating Double Standard for Jewish Public Officials -JCRC Bay Area & Jewish Silicon Valley- We are deeply troubled by Judge Kelley Paul’s decision in People v. Gonzalez to disqualify District Attorney Jeff Rosen and his team from prosecuting the defendants allegedly responsible for the politically motivated destruction of the executive offices of the university president and provost at Stanford. Without issuing a written ruling, the court has set a disturbing precedent that appears to impose a different standard on Jewish public officials. This ruling has also validated the defense and their supporters' ongoing campaign to smear one of our state’s highest-ranking Jewish officials. This decision uniquely targets minority prosecutors, suggesting they are incapable of pursuing justice in cases perceived to be impacting their own communities. We must reject this double standard, which undermines the ability of all public servants to stand against hate without fear of professional disqualification. Generations of American Jews in positions of public trust have all too often been treated as suspect or inherently conflicted. This decision risks reinforcing longstanding antisemitic prejudices and invites future defendants to weaponize a prosecutor’s identity against them, casting any public opposition to hate as grounds for disqualification. Allowing such a ruling to stand would weaken a vital safeguard for our justice system and we urge the Attorney General to appeal. The case against the defendants must proceed. Anything less would undermine the fundamental principles of equal justice and impartiality under the law.

Virginia Democrats were so sloppy Also, why didn't the court just rule that this was illegal to hold the referendum. They knew the timing nullified everything, they shouldn't have even moved forward with the vote.
Ally Mutnick@allymutnick

A question we will hear A LOT in the coming days >> Why didn't VA Dems vote on the redistricting amendment before early voting began on 9/21 for the 2025 elections? Why did they wait until 10/31? Would that have stopped SCOVA from invalidating the referendum?

@politicalmath @Tebow4802 There really isn't a good explanation for the court not issuing this ruling before the vote. It's inscrutable why you keep trying to justify it.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. All the "smart" Democrats are saying that the court should have addressed this issue before the election. But the Court says IN THE DECISION: "Thoughout this litigation, the Commonwealth (ie the Democrats) has insisted that we cannot lawfully decide this case prior to the referendum" Before the election, the Democrats *successfully* argued that "courts cannot interfere to stop any of the proceedings while this permanent law is in the process of being made" The Democrats WON the argument that the Courts MUST allow the election to go ahead without ruling on the constitutionality of what they were voting on Now they are complaining that the Court should have ruled on this case before the election. This is the most cut-and-dried case of intentional idiocy I've seen in at least a week and a half

@NoAlgae69 Ironically the court basically made the point that a state can gerrymander on partisan lines which often will have the same result

Do we think they’d have done the same thing if that district was full of white liberals? Or did they only redistrict because it’s majority black? In other words, were they motivated by partisanship or race?

Unfortunately standard practice throughout big city DA's offices to give favorable plea deals too illegals. These do not come from the line Assistant DA's, it's a policy from the executive team. Perversely, they try to logic that to not do so would mean that illegals are being more harshly punished because there are immigration consequences associated with the offers. This of course is batshit crazy, since the consequences are due to the immigrants' separate crime of being in this country illegally and if anything should be more likened to where a criminal with a previous record gets a harsher offer

I can't tell if Sarah Isgur is just playing stupid about not understanding Louisiana's sovereignty argument about how doctors in another state mailing abortion pills to Louisiana subverts its abortion ban, or if she doesn't understand it because she actually is stupid.
