@TheAngry53586 I thought she was supposed to have her sewage system redone anyways. If correct she was gonna be in dry dock for a bit anyways. They’d be able to work on both simultaneously maybe?

In short, if this is genuine, a proper pot mess of an Incident. But they did pull things back at the end. And nobody died. But barring some spectacular temporary repair work she’s off the board for a while pending full structural survey of affected areas and assessment of damage

Ok this is interesting. Usual caveats apply. First as we discussed in the space, the fire DID spread outside the confines of the laundry, which means containment (stopping spread by radiation/ convection/ conduction) failed badly /1
Malcontent News@MalcontentmentT

Crew compartments and laundry facility inside the aircraft carrier Gerald R Ford are destroyed, leaked videos show. The laundry is completely burned out as are numerous racks. The fire was far more serious than reported by DoD

Seeing this take a fair bit regarding the lost E-3. I’m not sure people are quite realising that these things are literal gold dust. They cannot be replaced, they’re incredibly unreliable as it is, and they’re mission critical. To lose a single E-3 is a big problem.

🚨 Do you understand what SCOTUS is about to decide? in 1857, the Supreme Court ruled that Black Americans... even those born free on American soil.. could never be citizens.. it was called the Dred Scott decision.. one of the most shameful rulings in legal history.. it took a Civil War and 360,000 Union deaths to fix it.. in 1868, Congress passed the 14th Amendment.. "all persons born or naturalized in the United States are citizens".. no exceptions.. no asterisks.. they wrote it that way on purpose.. so no government could ever again decide who counts as American on this soil.. it has stood for 156 years.. Trump signed an executive order trying to end it.. not a constitutional amendment.. not an act of Congress.. an executive order.. and SCOTUS is about to decide if that's allowed.. here's what nobody's saying out loud.. this isn't about immigration.. if a president can override the 14th Amendment with an executive order.. there is no amendment a president cannot override with an executive order.. one executive order just did what the Confederacy couldn't.

BREAKING: SCOTUS is about to consider upholding President Trump’s birthright citizenship executive order.

@shipwreckedcrew They could just do a consent vote for it at 3 in the morning with a couple of rep senators. They set precedent last night with the tsa bill

Sometimes when I’m in my office, the lights turn off because I haven’t really moved in a bit. When that happens, I try to move as stealthily as possible out the door so as not to trigger the motion detector and turn the lights back on. I’ve told myself that if I can “escape” my office, I will just leave for the day. Three attempts so far today. I’ve been killed by the lights every time.

US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III #AE10C0 as RCH166 is at least the 5th medevac from Ramstein AB, Germany to JB Andrews since the beginning of Operation EPIC FURY. This trip met 1 patient evacuation vehicle and 1 medical ambulance bus that departed Andrews for Walter Reed with emergency lights active.

JD Vance claimed today that Iran may send people with “Nuclear Sucicide Vests.” Yes he really said this. Any nuclear physicists out there that can comment on this? I mean I’m guessing it’s insane and not possible but I know nothing.

@DaHighestLife @pdb5906tsw @reddit_lies Again. Those are denying restrictions. There is no amendment that says the right to vote shall not be infringed. Compare the bill of rights to the amendments that discuss voting rights. Look at the wording.

@DaHighestLife @pdb5906tsw @reddit_lies What amendment says something to the affect of a citizens right to vote can not be infringed or Congress may make no law. The constitution lays down rules on disenfranchisement. They can pass a law today that would be legal stating every citizen named Steve can not vote.

You've become tiresome. Yes, we do actually need to start taxing the super wealthy. Got to to do something about the tens of trillions in unrealized capital gains. That's a problem. A problem that could solve the federal deficit. Let me summarize for anyone who doesn't know how it works: Billionaire has a fortune in their stock portfolio. That's where the billions live. Now as long as they don't sell these stocks, they are considered unrealized capital gains. So our friend, the billionaire, can go to the bank and offer stock as collateral. "I want to borrow five million... actually, make it twenty. And I want a 2% interest rate." And they get it. That's how it works. There's no "realized gain" to tax. The loans don't get taxed. They actually pay off the loans with the loans, rinse and repeat. And you know what? This is how Congress likes it. These are the people that fund their campaigns. No chance they're going to vote to actually tax the wealthy. What they'll do is increase taxes on the middle and working class. It is what they've been doing for decades. So, Senator, your acting skills aren't exactly impressive. Most of us know this isn't going to get through Congress. And it really doesn't matter which of the two corporate parties is "in charge". We know who is really in charge. It isn't you. It isn't even the President. It's the people who's gains are rarely technically "realized". So... 🙄

Today, I'm introducing my wealth tax — and more than 50 members of Congress are joining me. It’s time for the government to start working for American families, not just the ultra-rich.
