It might make sense to increase compensation for Congress and senior government employees to reduce the forcing function for corruption, as the latter might be as much as 1000 times more expensive to the public

@friscoisd So only 16% of the teachers in FISD will receive this stipend? Sad, we are letting teachers go due to budget shortfalls and only giving 16% stipends.

@GuyDealership Almost every major bank out there has loan options with payments over 1000/mo. Most customers who have purchased a Tahoe/Yukon/Sequoia/ big trucks 3/4 tons and up all have payments in excess of 1000/mo

@KobeissiLetter For those saying buy used, a 2018 F-150 2wd with 120,000 miles still sells for over $20k. Higher new prices = higher used car. There is hardly a cash car at a dealership any longer. 20 years in the car business and it’s not looking to get better anytime soon.

The major auto makers up until a few years ago had about 24 car models priced at $20,000 or less, now there is 1. Up until a few years ago there were only several models over $100k, now there is something like 32. Ford is getting rid of the mustang Dodge getting rid of challenger and charger. Chevy getting rid of the Camaro. What is going on?

JUST IN: The high school teacher who was beaten unconscious by a 270 pound student after she told him to get off of his Nintendo, is reportedly refusing to help the defense lighten the sentence for the teen. Good for her 🔥 The student, Brendan Depa, is facing up to a whopping 30 years in prison. Depa was charged as an adult for a first-degree felony charge of aggravated battery.

@greekgodfit @180_student @CollinRugg Even after you change it, they still have a master code. As a customer who didn’t realize they would roll on me as a consumer, I had been locked out of my safe when I first purchased it. I made a phone call and 5 minutes later I had a master code to unlock my safe.

NEW: Liberty Safe has locked their comments on X after receiving massive backlash for providing the FBI with an access code to a safe belonging to one of their customers. If only they could secure their safes like they can secure their comment section Liberty Safe customers are fuming after it was revealed that the company stores access codes to their safes. One customer is @TheQuartering who revealed that he would be cancelling his $7000 Liberty Safe order that he made on Saturday. "I just ordered a $7000 liberty safe on Saturday. A Lincoln 50 with all the fixings," he posted. "I am making a call tomorrow to cancel." If you thought Bud Light was bad, this will be 10x worse. You love to see it.

NEW: America’s top gun safe manufacturer, Liberty Safe, gave the FBI an access code to a safe owned by someone who was present at the J6 protest. We have officially found the Bud Light of gun safes. Enjoy going out of business, @libertysafeinc. The situation gets even worse: On August 30, 2023, the FBI raided the owner of the safe, Arkansas man Nathan Hughes who is a friend of the @hodgetwins. Not only did they access his safe but the FBI also allegedly turned off his security cameras and held his girlfriend at gun point. In a statement Liberty Safe confirmed they gave the FBI Hughes’ code: “Liberty Safe was contacted by the FBI requesting the access code to the safe of an individual for whom they had a warrant to search their property…” “Liberty Safe is devoted to protecting the personal property and 2nd amendment rights of our customers…” Shameful.

@GuyDealership Looking at the current trends in negative equity with EV owners, it honestly frightens me. Those who bought Teslas before the MSRP drop are now buried for life. The Taycan had taken a beating, most dealers I know won’t touch Preowned EVs… the future is scary

Electric vehicle market share has been on a tear since 2020 📈: 2020: 1.7% 2021: 3.1% 2022: 5.5% 2023 YTD: 6.9% (!!) The most interesting question (to me) is what will this look like in 5 years.

@GuyDealership $57000 amount to finance at 8% for 72 months with taxes pulls a 1000 payment. This is your top of the line F-150, Tundra, Sierra etc. or Genesis, Lexus, Mercedes, and BMW mid to high line vehicles.

Fascinating chart showing % of residents paying over $1,000/month for their cars. Fun fact: More than 1 in 5 shoppers in Texas and Wyoming committed to a monthly payment over $1,000/mth in Q2 (driven by purchases of large trucks)

I would much rather hire a sales person from a Jeep dealership than a Toyota one. One product requires real sales skills. The other product just sells itself.

@GuyDealership Significant increase in Default is going to occur in 1 of 4 areas. IMO this is the order that we see it; Student Loans, Credit Cards, Autos, then Housing. We are already seeing the last three, I don’t feel that the average citizen will be able to afford the student loans.
