The majority of patients don’t need to be empirically treated for it. Nares screens help and local patterns are important also.

Mondays at 5 pm with food! He also made sure medical students had their own small group sit-down sessions with the visiting professors that came. Played a role in developing my interest in surgery.

Chairs conference is one of the things that drew me to @UABSurgery I love that Dr. Chen plays such an active role w/residents in this weekly conference for juniors that spans personal development (eg discussing our DISC style), technical, + didactic topics #Match2023 #WhyUAB

Sports are a common topic of conversation in the OR. It’s easy to feel excluded if you aren’t fluent in “sports.” Don’t let that stop you from becoming a surgeon. The field is diversifying and we need your talent.
