@DazzaBABA Uoturn looks good however they carry so much risks. Too volatile. Their low revenue, negative cash flows and dependancy on capital injection raise too many flags

@bowtiedstocks Understandable. But is it all hype considering those numbers.. I got in a few months ago and not sure when to reduce yet but with those numbers I think there is still room for growth.

$NVDA NVIDIA Corp - I don’t think everyone is getting their head around the sheer earnings power of this beast - Q1 revenue up 85% year on year to $81.6bn - Gross Margin % increased to 74.9% from 60.5% year on year - Net income $58.3bn vs $18.8bn prior corresponding quarter - Free Cashflow up from $26.1bn to $48.6bn Sustainable? Who knows Price Earnings something around 46x - not something I’d ever enter but maybe it can grow into it ?? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Things that got canceled for "racism" 1. CCTV cameras (Seattle) 2. Mugshots (San Francisco) 3. Gunshot detectors (15+ cities) 4. Standardized tests (UC system) 5. Gifted & Talented program (NYC) 6. License plate readers (30+ cities) I wish this was a joke, but it's 100% real

@RennickGBR The fact remains, the cost of constructing a home remains high.. this is what will maintain house prices at that level. Material is expensive.

Is the boom going to bust? “The 1988 Australian property boom saw national home values surge by a record 31.2%, making it one of the largest single-year value spikes in the country's recorded real estate history. This massive growth occurred despite aggressive economic conditions, with home loan interest rates hovering near 15% and rising. Why the 1988 Boom Happened: •The 1987 Stock Market Crash: Global stock market instability caused a massive shift in capital, with investors pulling money out of the share market and pouring it directly into Australian real estate. •Negative Gearing: After a brief period where the tax break was abolished, negative gearing was reinstated in 1987, heavily incentivizing property investment. •Credit Deregulation: Following the floating of the Australian dollar, the deregulation of the banking sector and the licensing of foreign banks made loans much more accessible, driving up auction bids.” •••••••••• This is an insightful clip from the ABC 1988 when house prices shot up dramatically for the reasons listed above. I’m old enough to remember that “property boom” as it was my first year out of school and my brother had bought a unit in Auchenflower for $62,500 which seemed like a lot of money at the time. The boom forced the RBA into raising the cash rate to 17.5% by 1990 causing a severe recession unemployment to hit 10%. Immigration was also curtailed as a result of the housing boom. Immigration dropped from around 150,000 to less than 100,000 by the mid 90’s. The decrease was partly due to the Fitzgerald Immigration Report released in 1988 that called for stricter immigration controls. He was not called a racist. Housing debt and immigration is much higher today whilst the cash rate is much lower at 4.35%. House prices eased by 8% in the early 1990’s. Time will only tell what happens to housing prices going forward but it’s a very important indicator that is going to determine that future prosperity of our nation.

Albanese swore before the election: “No changes to negative gearing or CGT. How hard is it? For the 50th time.” Now the 2026 Budget axes the 50% CGT discount, replaced with inflation indexation + a 30% minimum tax on gains from July 2027!! Why would young Aussies take massive risks, build startups, or innovate here when they bear all the downside… but the government takes nearly half the upside if they succeed? All the sweat, all the risk of losing everything, only for albo and his NDIS mates to skim half the reward. This doesn’t help first home buyers. It kills the drive to get ahead and build wealth. It will only send more money overseas..

@corybernardi Walking out is not the behaviour we expect in government. Sitting thru and debating our differences is what mature people do.. but then again these are the greens.. I do t expect much more from people who struggle to define what a woman actually is..

Albo will increase total spending on disability to $98 billion this year. He’s going after investors to pay. Australia is one of the highest spending nations in the world on disability supports, only outranked by Scandinavian nations. #auspol #ausbiz afr.com/companies/heal…

@goodfoodgal Does he even know the definition of investment?? So if we invest in stocks he take half the profit? We buy a house he takes half the gain.. we start a business he takes half that too.. we take the risk, yet he takes the profit..

Of course. What did they think would happen?? Rather than look at effect corrective actions they came up with anything to make the public think they were doing something. This was an intelligence breakdown with NSW police.. facts are, a non-citizen firearm owner was allowed to bear arms while living with a person terrorist watch list . How the heck can this be??

Firearm licence applications lodged in NSW have jumped almost 50 per cent in the months after the Bondi massacre, with anecdotal reports that family members of existing shooters are obtaining licences to absorb excess guns set to become illegal under tough new gun laws. The state’s firearms registry shows the number of licence applications lodged jumped to an average of 2473 over January, February and March – compared with an average of 1670 between April and December 2025. bit.ly/3Pt9s1K

You think you have any idea because of the role you played and are intimidated with the fact that people may have another approach that may work. Any person telling you you can't control the number of people you let into a given country is afraid of other people coming in and being successful. There are ways to reduce the intake by 100, 000 and thats by lifting the bar. There are many ways you can do that..

Any politician who tells you he can ‘cap’ net migration is a politician who has no idea about migration management. You can ‘target’ net migration & set policy to get close to target (eg plus or minus 10,000) but you can’t ‘cap’ it. That would be like trying to ‘cap’ inflation.

My point is they did their time and earnt what they go, they get to choose how they spend their money. If anyone has a problem with the struggles to buy a house, id take a look at government policy rather than blame the boomers.. its not their fault. Its the government that has let so many people in to help skew statistics to show a growing economy yet at the same time caused a massive house shortage in the process. Thats what driven up house prices. The shortage in homes.. its the same reason we have rental properties with 50+ applicants.

Does he realise how stupid that sounds. One group is named Australians, the other aren't. There is a big difference. Thats not to say some Australians WERE refugees or migrants, but until they become citizens, they are not Australians. And if we aren't going to treat citizens different to non citizen's.. its begs the question what is a citizen? This is the same government that was pushing a "voice" for indigenous people.. why bother? What logic was he using

Its that hard to believe they worked hard for their money without the standards and OH&S rules we have today? Or the part they paid their taxes and should be able to spend their own money how ever they intend? Do you have any idea why the government really wants the high immigration?
