"The initial quota... of 49 000 units... will increase by 6.5% annually... The portion of the quota reserved for EVs with a free-on-board (FOB) price of $35,000 or less will rise from 10% in year 2 to 50% in year 5. This will ensure the availability of more affordable EVs in 🇨🇦."

Ford just detailed how their universal electric platform, $30k truck will use front and rear gig castings, a structural battery pack, 48 V wiring, zonal architecture, and LFP batteries. It is designed to be 15% more aerodynamic than a conventional pick up truck.
They compare it with a Maverick, not the Lightning.
I did not note anything significant, that Tesla has not already done, other than the price point and that it’s a compact truck. I think the market will be large if they do deliver profitably at that price point.
Certainly appears to offer better technology and value than the Jeff Bezos act Slate truck coming next year.

This is the Alberta David Parker wants!
Seriously, I would pay $ to see someone run through all of Norway's fiscal and environmental policies and/or their oil and gas production profiles with the Alberta separatist legions saying Alberta could be like Norway.

In 2022, Norway increased their wealth tax to 1.1%. In response, some high profile billionaires moved out of the country. According to a viral claim, this resulted in a net loss of revenue. Is this true? No. Over the next two years, wealth tax revenue soared to all time highs.
