@AlphaNews I might be crazy, but why does this bill even have to exist? The parents should be the ones limiting access to social media by not giving kind smart phones. My kids will be getting dumb phones and not until 14 or 15.

NEW: The Minnesota Family Council and the Minnesota Catholic Conference applaud the state legislature for passing a bill that seeks to curb social media addiction among youth. The bill requires parental consent for children under 16 to open an account on social media platforms. For those who receive consent, the most addictive features, like infinite scroll and autoplay videos, will be prohibited. “Social media companies should not be using addictive technologies to profit off children. This bill simply requires Big Tech to use existing technology to protect children rather than monetize them, creating a less addictive user experience,” said Renee Carlson, general counsel for Minnesota Family Council. "Kids do not need unfettered access to platforms that treat them as a product to profit from," added Sen. Michael Kreun, one of the chief authors of the bill.

Minnesotans want an assault weapons ban, and @LisaDemuthMN is standing in the way. She and the MNGOP are continuing to prove that they love their guns more than they love Minnesota’s children. Let’s vote them out.

Flashback: Washington spent $1 million teaching ferrets to binge drink. $54 million funneling bat viruses to Wuhan. $7.5 billion on EV chargers that produced 68 stations. And they say we can't find six cents on the dollar to cut to balance the budget in five years.

If you support Massie, PLEASE share this post. There is an org that is currently running a door knocking campaign in KY-04 in support of Massie. This is an established, proven org with receipts. Massie has talked openly about how GOP donors are being pressured not to support him, his staff was threatened w FBI investigations, Consultants are having their businesses threatened to not support him. Its way more snake shit than just the public outbursts and the paid talking heads. This door knocking campaign is funded through til March. They are looking to raise $400,000 to fund the entire rest of the campaign, 80,000 doors clear up until Primary day. This org has a 501c4 component so that donations can be kept private. I’m asking anybody who wants to support this and is capable of a sizable donation, $5000+, to DM me and I’ll send you the link to support and connect you w the chair of the org if you’d like. If you are capable of that, you probly have friends who are too. Talk to them, and lets get this done. This is the machine vs truth and liberty right now and the good guys need to win this one.

BREAKING: Two Republicans voted “NAY,” effectively stalling the bill to fund the government and keeping the federal government in a partial shutdown. One of the lawmakers opposing the measure is Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY).

@TwinsGeek @Evets94343955 ICE tries to do it the right way by submitting detainer requests for individuals when they are jailed. Unfortunately, those requests are often ignored and individuals released. Maybe if we dealt with them with the first incident, the Feds wouldn't be here.

@Evets94343955 You can target dangerous criminals without anonymous armed government thugs swooping up people based on their skin color and secretly detaining/deporting them because their paperwork isn’t in order. To claim otherwise is political. (ICE is also making a lot of 4yo orphans.)

On Wednesday afternoon 25-year-old Caitlin Stup was on her way to work at Sweetgreen in Houston when Brayden Smith boarded the bus and spotted gang rival Patrick Scott. Smith was out on probation for attempting to commit aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Scott was out on reduced bond for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. They began shooting at each other (with guns they're not legally allowed to have). They missed each other entirely and instead shot Caitlin in the head—killing her. Smith has been charged with the murder, but Scott faces only a misdemeanor charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon. And not a single major media outlet has covered this story.

@JagoeCapital @CassandraRules Well I would say you are half right. I agree that she did not intend to run over or kill the agent. On the other hand, I can understand that in the moment, from the officers eyes, he believed she did intend to hit him. Both parties share the blame.

@CassandraRules She definitely never “tried to run down a brave agent” She tried to leave, and an absolute pussy with a gun decided to execute her on the spot, instead of moving out of the way. If you can’t see that, you’re a disgraceful (and most likely disingenuous) op

She dropped her kid off at a social justice charter school, the one where she met other radical anti ice activists to "train" at interfering with their operations, then went out to do just that with her weird radical butch "wife." She proceeded to try to run down a brave agent, who was recently dragged by a vehicle driven by an illegal alien. Fixed it for you.

@AmySwearer Agree. Based upon my views of the video, I dont think the driver intended to hurt the officer, she was most likely scared and panicked. The officer likely feared for his life when the car lunges toward him. Both parties could have done things differently and avoided this tragedy

Moreover, it's entirely possible for both of the following to be true: (1) the driver did not subjectively intend to run over the ICE agent standing directly in front of her vehicle, and (2) the ICE agent standing directly in front of her accelerating vehicle reasonably feared she was, in fact, about to slam on the gas and run him over. The first point gives the driver a pretty solid defense to charges of attempted murder or aggravated assault on a police officer. The second point is a pretty solid justification for the officer's use of lethal force. It's not one or the other. It's both.
Amy Swearer@AmySwearer

I've now watched the Minneapolis ICE shooting from three different angles, and there's no real question -- it was quite obviously a legally justified use of deadly force by a law enforcement officer. That officer faced an unknown subject who, while ignoring lawful commands, pointed a 3000+ lbs. car at him and evidenced an intent to continue driving that car. He shot the driver (1) after the driver made physical contact with his body and (2) through the front windshield. You can slow down the video all you want and spend minutes analyzing micro-seconds to make after-the-fact assessments of the likelihood the driver actually intended to use the car as a lethal weapon. In reality, during those micro-seconds in real time, it's reasonable to presume that a driver ignoring your commands to stop is about to floor the gas peddle, turn the wheel into you, and run you over. It's no different than the reasonable presumption that the suspect who ignores your commands to keep their hands up and reaches for the gun in their waistband intends to use it against you rather than toss it away.

@Metalirishman66 @ClayTravis I mean, in Season 3 I really liked her and the possibility of her with Steve. Sort of this dorky girl with Steve who is a reformed jock. But then she's gay and it asses up that whole storyline and then it's like, who cares?

Why does Netflix have to make every show super gay? The Will coming out scene in “Stranger Things” was completely unnecessary, cringe and actually derailed the entire show.
