Wild how quickly OpenAI lost control of the AI narrative after having a huge lead. Top was the day Altman went on BG podcast and everyone realized the whole company was smoke and mirrors. A few things are clear now: 1. Altman is a snake and cannot be trusted. 2. Their product is inferior to Anthropic.

I’m a big fan of creating my own luck by taking action with calculated risk. Genuine “luck” does exist; being born in America, good family, high IQ, etc. But to truly be successful in life you must take actions that essentially create luck by putting yourself in a position to potentially win.

One of the greatest psyops pushed on Americans has been convincing them that traveling to third-world islands for a week is somehow a “vacation”, or “culturally enriching.” Traveling hours on planes, trains and automobiles just to see the same water you can see in Miami or the Keys, but with less security, worse food, worse accommodations, and no escape options is not only unnecessary… It’s generally not enjoyable. You’re convinced it’s enjoyable because you know that’s how you’re supposed to feel. Social media told you so. Every time I leave the US I think the same thing; “this isn’t worth it.” It almost never is. There’s virtually no reason to leave the US. I’ve always felt this way, and every time I do leave, it confirms what I already thought. Few exceptions.
