We need legislation to ban cities from doing this. People ask why new housing isn't affordable. It's nonsense like this. Making new residents pay to maintain parks because existing residents aren't paying their share thanks to Prop 13. We need equitable back-pressure measures to make Prop 13 unsustainable until it's forced to collapse.

Alameda County absolutely needs a progressive prosecutor that reflects community values. Sentencing reform is needed. But @PPriceCares, who I voted for, has shown she is not the right person to get this job done, and has lost my support due to her attacks on the press.

It's pretty mind blowing that the Alameda County DA, the elected chief of one of the most powerful law enforcement agencies in California is sending out *multiple emails per week* to attack a 1-person journalism operation.
