Have a @FrameworkPuter, @Lenovo, @Dell, @Acer, @ASUS, etc laptop or desktop with @MediaTek MT7925 (RZ717) Wifi 7 card (commonly bundled with @AMDRyzen cpu machines), and also running Linux and dealing with constant kernel panics, disconnections, deadlocks, or wake/suspend issues? I got fixes! I've been upstreaming 21 new patches to the Linux kernel that fix those issues. Everything from fixing null ptr derefs, race conditions in the driver, MLO bugs with state changes, device reset handling issues, etc that are especially bad and easy to trigger if you have an enterprise or mesh Wifi 6E/7 setup. In the interim, I created an alternative, easy-to-install driver as a standalone buildable DKMS package that fixes most of it, which you can install on most modern distros now without waiting for the fixes to fully land upstream and for all distros to update, so you can enjoy the fixes now. It also includes fixes for a couple of potential crashers on the older MT7921 (Wifi 6E) chip. github.com/zbowling/mt792… That same repo has all the patches ported to multiple kernel versions, too, if you prefer not to use my portable DKMS package. Love the @SFBayFerry but I’m extremely that @rideact launched a new pilot bus route peak pandemic, had extremely poor on time performance when it did run (I remember they never came for 2 ferries in a row), then put it first on the chopping block for cuts citing poor ridership. Now in 2026 the new ferry lot fills up my 8:20am, people are parking illegally on the grass, and the only back pressure to encourage car pooling or biking is the city adding paid parking and paying for parking enforcement. When AC Transit canceled service, they didn’t even properly notice the agenda item when it was discussed, didn’t inform ferry riders it was up for discussion, didn’t notify the city until it was done, and the minutes for the meeting has bad data for the decision not taking into account the poor performance or even how drivers didn’t know how to turn around. I’m so mad about it still that I’m half tempted to campaign for AC Transit board to represent Alameda. Even with realign changes we needed to make Alameda got bit of a raw deal in some ways and feedback from our council and transportation committee wasn’t fully considered or weighed properly. It’s mad. People are literally ubering to the ferry now. Need to boost the Alameda TMA too. Maybe a bond, property, or sales tax measure to provide Alameda its own ferry shuttle service on the island. Or maybe a ballot measure to redirect measure BB funds to local service. I get the fiscal cliff and current federal gov funding issues but as an island community, we need to discourage so many miles traveled to park and ride and we our transit agencies to help with that vision.

My bill, the No Kings Act, is being voted on in committee this week. It would allow you to sue federal agents if they use excessive force, illegally detain you, or violate your right to free speech. In a democracy no one is above the law, including the President & federal agents.
