@GoTeamGoSports1 I didn’t even know where to start with it. Realised it’s just click bait and someone trying to make 50c off engagement.

@KarlBrophy Leo has done Leinster some service … but time for a change. First time I’m saying it. But fresh ideas are needed and Nienaber hasn’t brought them.

Well there goes that dream. UBB just miles better. They got the luck for some of their scores but that was a pummelling. Leinster have gone from conceding 38 points in a semi final to conceding 35 in one half of a final. #LEIvUBB

At least 60,000 people in Ireland have been queueing online today to buy tickets for next year's Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Co Limerick, with some fans reporting technical issues with the process rte.ie/news/ireland/2…

@SeamusConwell @BennyGordon89 They’re obviously stuck for a few quid to upgrade their system. Poor divils 😅 Mine was probably coincidental. The chat thing just said to email them for email confirmation and the confirmation came soon after their auto reply

@Joe_Bourke @BennyGordon89 Got mine without chasing them. Money came out and took a good while to get the email but I didn’t do anything to get it. Same as you Joe, payment verification page went to blank. Then refreshed and I was back of the queue.

@BennyGordon89 @rtenews Got mine after half an hour. Had no clue until then if it had worked. Money went from account but confirmation page never loaded and eventually turned back into the queue. I emailed looking for it. They didn’t reply, but not sure if it prompted a manual push from them. Try it

@DevildetailsMU It’s not only break even on Rasmus. Only two years left on his book value this summer. Somewhere between 10m-13m book profit (depending on how much of his performance related add-ons were hit).

If we’re in the Champions League the wage bill automatically goes up by 25% and the savings on wages will be absorbed by new contracts. We really need a manager who will say if Barcelona don’t pay up Rashford can stay, this way we collect the full £30m pure profit. We’re only breaking even on Rasmus on the books!
UtdXclusive@UtdXclusive

🚨 NEW: Man Utd could pocket £100M this summer from selling loanes: Hojlund (£38M to Napoli), Rashford (£30M Barcelona option), Onana (potential buyer). & big wage savings - Casemiro (£350k) departing & Maguire (£190k) if he leaves = ~£540k-£550k/wk off the bill. [@TyMarshall_MEN]

If the EU doesn't draw a line in the sand (it won't), tell Trump to shove it over Greenland, and accept and reciprocate on tarriffs, they might as well just give him the house and car keys and whatever else he wants now. Once this works, he will demand more. And more. And more.

@themagic_tophat Most reports have them looking for ~€80m for him which would see them break even only (in PSR terms). Downside of the massive contracts is that only a small amount comes off the book value each year. There’s honestly no way of looking at their player trading positively.

If you assume Chelsea are actually trying to be a commercial entity with a focus on player trading… then their only investments being sold for ~€35m profit in Madueke, Veiga and Petrovic is very worrying, especially when you consider they have crystallised bigger investment losses in Nkunku, Felix and Dewsbury-Hall. Almost all the profit they have generated through player trading to date has been from raiding Cobham. Given they’d take a bath on Fofana, Mudryk, Sterling, Lavia, Neto or Gittens… they either continue to sell Cobham grads (Acheampong to us next hopefully) or they sell acquired players that Chelsea fans probably don’t want to be sold (like Enzo). Otherwise, they’re generating zero profit in a space they’re supposed to be dominating.

@MartienBall There isn’t enough focus on how many problems stem from the fact United has the largest online/casual fanbase. It drives the clickbait articles from the media; a lot of the hype/pressure; the narratives the players are picking up online. It’s why the CO92 etc. struggle to relate

— Endrick has played about 20 minutes all season. — Mastantuono has barely had 7 minutes in the last two months. — Arda Güler hardly got any minutes last season. All of them are considered world class talents, by the way. Since people love using Real Madrid as the benchmark for “high standards” especially when it comes to sacking managers, we should also use them as an example of how they handle young talents. The coach benches them? Good. The coach plays them? Great. It’s that simple. How about that? Young players shouldn’t feel entitled, yet that sense of entitlement is being fuelled by social media and by United fans who overhype every young talent. In today’s era, young players are fully aware of every narrative online. They read everything, and it doesn’t help them at all. Unfortunately, many of the club’s problems begin with the fanbase itself.

@AkaPaulHoward World Rugby are on the record as sayings it’s for ticket sales/travel planning. Because they need to wait until the end of the annual Int’l cycle, alternative is this time next year which they think is too late/short notice for both travel and proper budgeting/financing. FWIW.

@MarkL0722 @ballsdotie Not dismissing them, but what “history”? And why is the abject failure at Qtr Final level relevant when they’re in the pool? The “history” is Ireland have won 15 of the last 16, including in the Pools of the last 2 World Cups. Most recent game a BP hammering in Murrayfield.

Ireland's path to the Rugby 2027 World Cup final: Pool D: Win the pool Round of 16: Beat the best 3rd place finisher from pool B/E/F Quarterfinal: Beat the Pool C winner (most likely Argentina) Semifinal: Win game between Pool F winner and Pool A runner up (most likely England v Australia) We live in hope.

@EarlofLeuven @CORKGAAFAN @DanielHussey2 Most years when it was 4 Pools of 4 (ie every WC before now). Ireland’s pool in the last one had SA and Scotland. NZ were in with France (and an in-form Italy). 2019 had pools like Eng, Fra, Arg; SA, NZ, Ita; Wales, Aus, Fiji. 4x4 generally had pools with 2-3 good teams.

@ColomnQuigley @VeryBadLlama Got stuck in Nantes on the way back from Ireland v South Africa at the last World Cup (delayed train = missed flight). Passed the time in Bradys. They had a pool table so we made the most of it. Lovely French couple had just taken it over a few months earlier. Great spot.
