My one and only FINAL 7-round Jets mock (a thread 🧵): I stand by my Arvell Reese prediction. Maybe it’s stubbornness. Maybe it’s copium. Maybe it’s conviction. Either way, he’s the most logical pick and I expect us to look back and laugh at the Bailey stuff. We’ll see!

How about a little MAC-tion with the final pick? Jackson Kuwatch is a 6-foot-4 toolsy LB who started one year at Miami Ohio. Probably someone who could compete for the backup MIKE job and provide depth on special teams if he makes the 53.

@li_jets I'm fine going for whoever falls to #16 (chances are one of Downs, Delane, McCoy, Bain, Ioane are there) and wait to see which of Cooper, Boston and Concepcion are there at #33 (or trade a 4th to grab one of them in the late 1st). Keep #44 for Haulcy/Woods/Miller/Rodriguez

Bringing this back on draft week. Feels like a lock the top 3 WRs will be gone by 16. If that’s the case, they’re better off waiting for 33 for the 3rd tier. Can jump back into the late 1st if a guy you love slides #Jets

@li_jets I'm excited by Concepcion, WR3/4 in this class for me, but I can't imagine the fanbase being thrilled with the value here. Who were the other options at #16?

@JCaporoso Draft the best player. A third round pick last year and a veteran we can soon move on from shouldn't stop us from taking McCoy or Delane at 16 if they're there. Trading Sauce for a great CB and a high pick next year is excellent process!

I don't disagree #Jets have a need at CB (particularly in medium and long term) but it is low on the list for me and would be frustrating to pay Stephens, use a top 75 pick on Thomas, trade for Brownlee, pay Wright (aware it is short term deal), have a former CB as Head Coach and still need to use a top 33 pick on a CB...7 months after trading away a first round CB you paid 100M. Get some pass catchers and if you want to go secondary early, go safety particularly if Minkah is playing a good amount of nickel this year

@TheJetPress Taking Bailey over Reese and then seeing Reese blossom into a DPOY candidate under Saleh at Tennessee would be another loljets moment for the ages. He might stink but it's worth the swing as you say.

And for the record I TOTALLY understand the argument for Bailey. If you’re more hesitant about Reese’s projection and you want the surefire awesome pass rusher, Bailey makes sense. I’m just more sold on Reese projecting as a damn good EDGE and think it’s worth the swing.

My stance on Reese/Bailey hasn’t really changed. I still think in a normal year there’s a *better* prospect with fewer drawbacks to take at No. 2. But I’d rather swing on Reese’s upside than a 23-year-old DPR at that spot. Think Reese’s floor is higher than many suggest too.

@fashion_nfl Easily the two blandest unis in the league. The issue with everyone going modern classic is that nothing stands out anymore, it's like most teams are just using the same template with different colours.
