"Once Saved, Always Saved" is sending countless people straight to hell. But that is what the dime-a-dozen protestant faux-churches offer, because it is such an easy (although empty) pathway to Heaven, or so they think. These are the people that Jesus will say to, "I never knew you".

Augustine said he picked up the Bible, read St. Paul, immediately repented, & devoted the rest of his life to the study of Scripture. In doing so, he: • converted to Catholicism • wrote “On the Holiness of the Catholic Church” • became a Catholic priest, then Catholic bishop • wrote over 100 works on Catholic doctrine, including many Bible commentaries.

So ridiculous! There was only ONE Christianity during that era. It was the Church that Jesus Christ founded. His earthly bride...the Catholic Church! The one with the Mass of the Ages, the seven sacraments, the pope who sits on the throne of Peter in Rome. There was no other Church.

Augustine did not “convert to Roman Catholicism.” He converted to Christianity in 386–387 AD and was baptized into the ancient, pre‑schism Catholic Church, which was not yet the Roman Catholic Church as we know it today. Based strictly on Augustine’s own teachings, he would not support today’s Roman Catholic Church. He would agree with some parts, disagree with many others, and flat‑out reject several core Roman Catholic doctrines.
