So true. Not need to prepare at all when the prophesied apocalyptic catastrophes are just metaphorical. It’s all a product of taking mainstream cosmology as the gospel over countless scriptural & prophetic about what actually happened in the past and what will happen in the future. This tendency is prideful bc you have to think you’re smarter than the scriptures & the prophets

@LeilandTanner This is foundational to receiving personal revelation. It’s so obvious yet it has to be such a weakness for the saints in today’s day and age. It’s a weakness for me. I can tell a difference when I ponder, though

"Search, [ponder], and pray" Do you know how to ponder? Or are you addicted to screen time and can't stand silence? You were born during the near apex of Satan's ability to distract you from pondering the wonders of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Oh, you're too busy? Hmm.

Amen. Gotta stick to the basics at church, I know its purpose is to solidify our foundation. But there is so much truth out there that we need to be circumscribing into one great whole. The heavens are wide open right now and the secrets of the universe are being revealed, but too many saints miss out because they’re afraid to “miss the mark”, or they’re just content with being stuck in primary so they don’t have to be held responsible for knowing the mysteries.

Fascinating stuff, Leiland. Thanks for the thorough answer. It is surreal that we have temples dotting the earth in our day. When you say they’re legit light/electric infusion centers, you’re not just saying that metaphorically it seems. They change us spiritually AND physically, in a way, which is just crazy to think about, but makes sense. If your chiastic return theory is right, it would definitely make the most symbolic sense, in my opinion. I will add, though, I always had it in my mind that heaven and earth do not pass away until after the Millennium and D&C 29 & 43 seem to support that. Although I do know that heaven and earth will changed drastically as the earth is cleansed by fire before the Millennium. Am I just wrong or is it a debated topic in the Church?

@Joey_Fowler14 The Temple is the future Configuration we are talking about made manifest in a building. Thats what Im excited about. The overlap is intense and I hope more people discover the joy of seeking to learn the symbols in a way that enhances the big picture of Christ and his Glory

My 11th great grandmother, Mary Chilton, sailed to America on the Mayflower and was the first Pilgrim to step foot onto Plymouth Rock. She was present at the First Thanksgiving and would have helped prepare the meal. Her and her fellow Pilgrims saw America as a covenant land set apart by Jesus Christ for a holy purpose. They even made covenants before stepping out of the Mayflower. They were after the pattern of two other ancient civilizations in this land, the Jaredites and Nephites, that prospered in this land inasmuch as they served the God of the land, Jesus Christ. Both civilizations were destroyed because they turned their backs on God. That should be a dire warning for us. This Thanksgiving, let’s remember our heritage, repent, and give thanks to Jesus Christ, the God of this great land. Speaking of America, Ether 2:9-12 says, “And now, we can behold the decrees of God concerning this land, that it is a land of promise; and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall serve God, or they shall be swept off when the fulness of his wrath shall come upon them. And the fulness of his wrath cometh upon them when they are ripened in iniquity. For behold, this is a land which is choice above all other lands; wherefore he that doth possess it shall serve God or shall be swept off; for it is the everlasting decree of God. And it is not until the fulness of iniquity among the children of the land, that they are swept off. And this cometh unto you, O ye Gentiles, that ye may know the decrees of God—that ye may repent, and not continue in your iniquities until the fulness come, that ye may not bring down the fulness of the wrath of God upon you as the inhabitants of the land have hitherto done. Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.”

This is the everywhere problem. Africa rates are crashing. Most of south America is below Japan at this point. It doesn't end the world, but it collapses the old world order, economies, and the standard way of living.

@romanhelmetguy No foreign policy actions can save a civilization if its population keeps dropping. Population collapse of Romans over time is what caused Rome to fall. The Romans worried about this, but failed to stop it.

@Zion_GPT When I went, I was overwhelmed by how extremely sacred it felt. It’s like an outdoor temple with maybe even an extra strong presence of the spirit. I feel like it almost shouldn’t be open to the public

ADAM-ONDI-AHMAN Nothing prepared me for my experience. 😳🤯 Almost 3000 acres of land, roughly the size of Salt Lake City - manicured rolling hills, trimmed trees, beautiful trails and parking areas… but nothing else. It literally is a CITY ready….WAITING. 🕰️

@Latterdaytruth The First Presidency in 1909 didn’t stutter. It is a theory of men & it is a satanic attempt to make humans forget their identity as men and women made in God’s image.

@AbotGrenfield My Southern Baptist parents have always loved him, but I had just never gotten around to reading his books. So far, I feel like he is one of those men that God keeps from the Church just so they can reach a ton of people they couldn’t if they were a member of the Church.

Started reading The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, and so far it’s like he’s almost quoting the Book of Mormon verbatim. It’s fascinating how well his ideas fit into our beliefs about America. No wonder so many Latter-day Saints like his work
