@McCartyDangles “Scared” is the key word. He plays scared out there, always has. No toughness at all. Needs to go to a team with a tough guy or 2 for protection, since Detroit will never get a guy to protect the skill players.

@KOBrien53 @IffyTheDopester There’s the rub. It’s not 2002 anymore. Detroit is not a desirable destination anymore. Players can go to teams with a true desire to win. Why go to a team with an apparent locker room problem and players who aren’t really very good ?

@IffyTheDopester What do you mean by urgency? Yzerman isn’t going anywhere and shouldn’t. The cupboard was bare when he took over. The Red Wings have plenty of cap space. Ilitch wont restrict Yzerman from spending to the cap; provided players want to come to the Red Wings.

Chris Ilitch showed some urgency this off season with the Tigers. Will he do the same with the Red Wings after April 15th?

@johnnywharton When you were there, those teams had a lot of guys who were leaders in their own ways. It looks like most of the players on this team are followers. Not much leadership, other than 2 or 3 guys. Plus, they aren’t super talented
