Despite the delicate ceasefire now in place between Israel and Iran, there has been no respite for the #WestBank. Out of the spotlight of the regional escalation, camps in the northern West Bank have faced ongoing destruction, with dozens of buildings demolished in the last twelve days.  Even now, Israeli Security Forces are continuing to demolish homes and buildings in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams camps. Stripped of basic dignity, many families have not even been able to save their belongings ahead of anticipated bulldozing.   Once full of life, these refugee camps are now reduced to rubble. This is not just destruction: it is part of systematic #ForcedDisplacement, a violation of international law, and a form of collective punishment.   The residents of these camps must be allowed to have access to their homes, and permitted to return without delay. @UNRWA schools and teachers prepare for children to start the new school year, and health centres stand ready to receive patients again. #PalestineRefugees must be supported to rebuild and recover.
