A good article but sadly the reason is that successive Governments always give in to the Irish Gov when it comes down to any difference in policy. A misty eyed green tinge is spread throughout Westminster and we saw it clearly during withdrawal agreement negotiations

I've just left the Mater Hospital after meeting health workers from many backgrounds who are genuinely terrified for their own safety and for the safety of their families. They are appealing for those behind these attacks to stop. These health workers are the people who care for us and our loved ones when we need them most. Speaking on BBC Breakfast this morning - absolute and unambiguous condemnation of the violence and disorder. It is not wanted nor does it serve any purpose. The wider issues have been bubbling for a long time, not just here but across the entire of the Uk. People deserve to feel safe. Politics must work for people and their genuinely held concerns listened to and action taken. There are those intent on manipulating the frustration and anger of people to bring unacceptable violence and disorder to our streets. This cannot be allowed to happen.

The Common Travel Area has been exploited, and is wide open to be constantly exploited. There is a wide open land border as a political appeasement of nationalism’s ‘feelings’. It’s time to have a proper functional border between NI & ROI.
