@GabbbarSingh Do ensure you shed such crocodile tears for the Unnao victim too. Oh but wait, that is in your a$$ licking BJP ruled state. So no tears....
English

@chandrarsrikant Chandra, just because you work for Ambani's channel, do you need to show such crass prejudice? Also, this person (Dehadrai) has openly mistreated @MahuaMoitra. Do you have to prove right the adage that 'a woman is the worst enemy of another woman'? Stick with business news.

It is crazy that I see this picture and know the context 😂😂

@RShivshankar Clearly, Amit Shah was SO CONFIDENT because they knew that after rigging the elections, they will not lose. This supreme confidence is a total giveaway.

Everyone and his चाचा now has an opinion on the Andaman Nicobar islands and the Great Nicobar Island development project but we have had a relentless focus on this vital region for years: my colleagues, led by @amitabhprevi have done an excellent series spending three weeks there covering the ANI from North to South. Take a look: youtube.com/playlist?list=…

@GabbbarSingh I am looking for a button to mute the BJP ass-licking you are indulging in....
English

@nirvanabliss75 @godbole_shilpa No, I am not here for anything else. I am just pointing out the irony of what you said. Sad that you can't digest it.

@JohnBook354 @godbole_shilpa Serious and dignified conversation is what I look for. Clearly you are here for something else. Have a good life

What has Brahmanical culture got to do with pronouncing “ण” as “ण”?
Pune in Marathi is पुणे .. it
can’t suddenly acquire a “न” because it’s convenient.
Hindi itself uses “ण” like in “करण.” So when locals insist on correct pronunciation, how does that become casteism?
If you travel abroad, mispronounce a word & a local corrects you do you call that hierarchy, or just basic respect for a language?
And BTW this isn’t coming from nowhere. The same author has argued that parrots in Pune’s skies are evidence of caste privilege, because certain surnames (Sane, Oak, Joshi, Bapat… you see the pattern) had better access to land, planning & greenery.
At some point, everything starts looking like caste privilege if that’s your main goal.

Puneri brahmanical culture does not need to say anything explicitly. The nasal “na” says it all, reinforcing segregated sociability. scroll.in/article/109246… It drew lines separating many Marathis and its speakers and made it clear which side of the line conferred legitimacy and dignity. @aca5057e05a441b @godbole_shilpa I gave you an example of Narendra and Narinder. You conveniently kept silent on that. The plain fact is your incompetence is cloaked in caste-victimhood, nothing else.
English

@JohnBook354 @godbole_shilpa Please don't give me an example of British. Ours is very diverse culture...
English

@GabbbarSingh Actually, those who *got* the alert - beware. The sinister home minister knows you. Asthana - looks like you got the alert. You are so screwed.
English

@GabbbarSingh So, shall we visit your retirement home .... to smell old age? 🤣😂
English

@nirvanabliss75 @godbole_shilpa Firstly, a joke isn't supposed to be logical. 2ndly, it is rich coming from you, who is using the word प्रमाण to support an argument that using ण is 'casteist'. Now isn't that a joke.
English

@JohnBook354 @godbole_shilpa Not a very logical 'joke' , also is casteist
English

@godbole_shilpa Saying something is 'correct pronunciation' itself is peshwai brahmin privilege. That inherently means others are incorrect. But the words used more often are shuddh and ashuddh reeking of casteist tones. That's why the politically correct word is प्रमाण भाषा and not शुद्ध भाषा
English

@aca5057e05a441b @godbole_shilpa This is not casteism - this is the insistence to use proper pronunciation - which the British also insist on - in that case, what does it become? Racism? If my name is नरेन्द्र and I insist you don't call me नरिंदर, is that casteism?
English

@godbole_shilpa More than half of locals use 'न' instead of 'ण' in multiple instances and other half (of brhamincal culture) always try to correct them. This is casteism...I have experienced it...You might have experienced if you would be in first half.
English

@godbole_shilpa Well in Hindi करण becomes करन. They can't get the ण right. So, केळं becomes केला in Hindi. But our southern cousins (Kannadiga) certainly have the ळ as well as the ण.... हर्दनहळ्ळी is what makes up the H in H D Devegouda, and अण्णा is elder brother. Nothing 'brahminical' about it.
English

@sabeer @anindianonearth Sabeer Did you go to all the regular Camp haunts... Marzorin, Kayanis....and Dorabjees etc.
English

@chandrarsrikant And you're the one constantly reporting how AI will 'deflate' Indian IT ... hard to live in the 'present' when media constantly yelling how we all will be out of a job soon
English

An old schoolmate liked one of my LinkedIn posts recently.
We hadn't spoken for years, so I checked his profile to see what he’s up to now.
That sent me down a rabbit hole- scrolling through profiles of classmates I’m no longer in touch with.
We’re all connected in some form: Facebook, LinkedIn,common Google group email id(which hasn't been used for years), a WhatsApp group… but you know how that goes.
Anyway, what struck me was how well everyone is doing.
While some were always the studious, ambitious types, many were carefree, up to mischief, constantly playing street cricket, sneaking off to watch movies and getting yelled at. They were often called “hopeless”, with teachers sometimes mocking them as "outstanding" (always standing outside the class because they were behind on assignments).
And yet, these kids from ordinary, middle-class families who seemed beyond redemption, are now directors, consultants, top engineers at world-class companies.
It gave me hope.
At a time when we constantly worry about AI taking away everything we've worked on for years, I’d like to believe life has a way of sorting itself out.
Call me an inveterate optimist, but maybe we shouldn’t let fear of the future steal the joy of the present.
On that slightly preachy note, have a lovely long weekend everyone!
