@nirvanabliss75 @godbole_shilpa Firstly, a joke isn't supposed to be logical. 2ndly, it is rich coming from you, who is using the word प्रमाण to support an argument that using ण is 'casteist'. Now isn't that a joke.

What has Brahmanical culture got to do with pronouncing “ण” as “ण”?
Pune in Marathi is पुणे .. it can’t suddenly acquire a “न” because it’s convenient. Hindi itself uses “ण” like in “करण.” So when locals insist on correct pronunciation, how does that become casteism? If you travel abroad, mispronounce a word & a local corrects you do you call that hierarchy, or just basic respect for a language? And BTW this isn’t coming from nowhere. The same author has argued that parrots in Pune’s skies are evidence of caste privilege, because certain surnames (Sane, Oak, Joshi, Bapat… you see the pattern) had better access to land, planning & greenery. At some point, everything starts looking like caste privilege if that’s your main goal.
