Are you gang members or are you officers of the law?” Police covered their faces as they re-arrested Palestine Action-linked activist Qesser Zuhrah early on Monday morning before taking her to a police station in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Zuhrah is facing trial for allegedly taking part in a 2024 break-in at a facility near Bristol owned by Israeli weapons firm Elbit Systems. She was granted bail last month after spending 15 months in prison awaiting her trial, which is due to begin in April. In December last year, she ended a 48-day hunger strike, which she took part in along with seven other Palestine Action-linked prisoners. One of their key demands was to be granted bail.

In the early hours of Monday, UK police arrested Palestine Action hunger striker Qesser Zuhrah. Officers told Zuhrah she was being arrested under section 44 of the Serious Crimes Act 2007 for "encouraging people to commit crime” and under section one of the Terrorism Act.

This is disgusting from the disgraced, mendacious @joshsimonsmp & Jewish News. Interesting that the article only mentions my colleague Paul Holden while Simon’s scurrilous interview on the BBC mentions me as well. I suppose it doesn’t serve the @JewishNewsUK’s risible narrative because I am Jewish, the son of a Holocaust survivor who lost dozens of her family in Auschwitz where I have lectured on genocide prevention and that I introduced the first ever motion on the Holocaust in the history of the South African Parliament.
