What was meant to be a show of force has spiraled into a full-blown agricultural disaster. T.r.u.m.p’s latest potash tariffs were designed to pressure Canada, but instead they detonated inside America’s own farming heartland. In an emergency meeting at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a senior Trump adviser reportedly admitted the unthinkable: the policy had backfired so badly that American farmers may not survive the growing season. Canada wasted no time. As the world’s largest potash supplier, Ottawa redirected exports to Asia and Europe within days, locking in billion-dollar contracts and tightening its grip on the global fertilizer market. One Canadian official mocked the situation bluntly, saying that if the U.S. doesn’t want Canadian potash, the rest of the world gladly will. On the ground in Iowa, the consequences turned personal. A U.S. farmer broke down during a live interview, explaining that without Canadian potash, crops simply cannot be grown at scale. The result is stark: Canada posts record profits and cements its status as the undisputed “fertilizer king,” while the United States loses control of a critical supply chain at the worst possible moment of the planting season. Analysts are already calling this the worst trade failure of Trump’s year — a pressure tactic that ended up crushing the very people it claimed to defend.

Gas is $4.12. A $1 increase in gas prices costs the average commuter ~$1,000 a year. The average household spent $1,000 on tariffs last year. Inflation spiked up by 0.9% to the highest level in two years. Costs are rising. Credit card debt and hardship withdrawals from retirement accounts are at record highs. Hard-working Americans are struggling. So what do Trump and Republicans do? Nothing, while saying how great it is that the average tax refund will be a couple of hundred dollars more this year. A move that skyrocketed the national debt and wealth inequality, as the rich and corporations received large tax cuts. America needs real solutions. It needs a higher minimum wage, universal healthcare, quality accessible education and job training, investment in American manufacturing, properly funded Social Security, and affordable housing. America needs real leadership.

MIND-BLOWING: THE 10 TOP REAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF TRUMP AND HEGSETH IN IRAN 1. The Strait of Hormuz was open - Now it’s blocked by two militaries 2. Iran had no nukes - Now every nation knows it needs nukes 3. Iranians were divided, with some favoring and some opposing the US and Israel - Now Iranians are united against the US and Israel 4. US military bases had pretended to be assets - Now they’ve been exposed as liabilities 5. Murdering an entire govt was considered a very bad thing - Now it’s fine, the US set a precedent for everyone 6. The Gulf states pretended to be loyal to the global family of Islam, not US/Israel - Now everyone knows the opposite is true 7. The “allies” thought the US valued them - Now they know the US is destroying them 8. US citizens used to spend nothing on Iran - Now they’re bleeding US$30 billion on that country 9. Peace negotiations used to be sacrosanct - Now we know the US says its okay to kill negotiators 10. The world suspected the US was a murderous rogue regime - Now we know it’s true.

I am in total awe of antibiotics every time I prescribe them for a serious condition. I see people all the time, literally at death’s door with sepsis, getting admitted to hospital. Within 24 hours they are up and talking and feeling better after being loaded with targeted intravenous antibiotics (and of course fluids). We are damn lucky to be living today because for most human history a simple bacterial infection would kill people. In my opinion, antibiotics have been the biggest gamechanger for humanity in the last hundred years. We must never take these miracle drugs for granted.

Iran is demanding 95 billion from Dubai. They sent evidence to the UN proving Dubai and the UAE were involved in the war. Dubai was responsible for hundreds of Iranian deaths. They were also responsible for the damages to their infrastructure. Now Iran wants compensation. If the UAE refuses to pay, Iran is considering increasing toll fees on the Hormuz. The UAE's entire economy runs on that route. That means Iran has total control of the UAE's economy now. The UAE's economy is already collapsing. Dubai is facing a dangerous food crisis. Fresh supplies are running out because the routes are disrupted. Prices are going up. Food, rent, everything is becoming unaffordable for normal people. If they don't pay Iran what they owe, it's going to get much worse. Iran has also asked Saudi to pay for damages.

America went to war in the Middle East to secure oil. China just sold everyone the exit. While Washington burned through alliances and aircraft carriers, Beijing spent a decade quietly monopolizing solar panels, batteries, and electric vehicles. The Iran war didn’t slow that down. It accelerated it. Oil prices spiked. Clean energy orders went through the roof. Chinese battery exports are up 57% year on year. Solar, batteries and EVs hit $22 billion in a single month. Once again Mark Carney sets the tone for a new world order, one where the rule of law matters, where human rights matters and where the truth matters. What a time to be Canadian. I said it at the outset when he was elected, this is the man this moment needs, and every day he proves it. 🎥 TikTok - vm.tiktok.com/ZNRVYGdB8/

Stop listening to the "engine noise" people. Physics doesn't care about your feelings. Your beautiful internal combustion engine is a thermodynamics disaster. We're talking 80 percent of the money you put into the tank being immediately converted into pure heat and screaming noise. You are not driving a vehicle. You are driving a $40,000 portable furnace that happens to have wheels. Meanwhile, EVs are converting over 77 percent of that energy directly to propulsion. Gas cars struggle to hit 30 percent efficiency. Imagine buying five gallons of milk, dumping four of them out in the parking lot, and saying, "Yeah, but the pour sound is so emotional." Make it make sense.

@JohnBrefeld @MountainDogMa @JamesTate121 @charise_lee With declining heavy oil imports from countries like Venezuela and Mexico, Canada is the only stable, large-scale source of heavy crude available for U.S. It imports heavy Canadian crude to balance its refining needs and produce heavy products like diesel and asphalt.

@JohnBrefeld @MountainDogMa @JamesTate121 @charise_lee In one year, 2025, China became our second biggest buyer of oil. Other countries are ramping up purchases, India and Asia. Instead of being smug you should consider how reliant you are on our oil and vulnerable to supply cuts.

@JamesTate121 I feel bad for the US farmers and the US ppl who depend on crops, but rump said he didn't need Canada for anything and threatened to make us the 51st state, I am proud that our PM stood his ground and found alternate trading partners for Cdn potash. We're not bowing to the 🍊💩

And it was another entirely self-inflicted crisis by Trump. I mean what did he expect we would do? We have a grown up brilliant PM who warned Trump at Davos that the middle countries would band together. Same with steel. Trump tried the same tactic, and Carney went to Europe and signed long-term contracts for Canadian steel. Apparently Canada does have some cards.

If the SAVE Act passes, you could legally buy a gun in more than half of US states without ever showing an ID or getting a background check, but your driver's license won't be enough to vote. That's the America THEY want. It's not the America we have or should strive to be.

.@BernieSanders Bernie Sanders has been consistent about his position all his life. First problem with your post is that he’s been a millionaire since 2016, with a net worth around $2–3 million, something many people can reach over a lifetime through home ownership and book royalties. He’s not the problem. He’s talking about people like you. What’s your net worth now, $800 billion? That’s over 300,000 Bernies. That’s not success, that’s extreme concentration. 60 millions households’ worth of wealth in one person. That’s capitalism gone wrong.

Low-IQ MAGA-tards are learning for the very first time that tankers come to the Gulf of Mexico. As they have for decades. None of them realize the U.S. actually IMPORTS oil because we use more oil domestically than what we produce. But don't tell them. Let them figure it out for themselves in the months ahead, when food and transportation costs skyrocket and they'll have to ponder why...
