Minimum wage thread Entry level jobs were never meant to support a family of five indefinitely. That's the problem with the endless minimum wage increases. They were designed to get high school and college kids some work experience and money for things like a car payment or food

@JohnCobraOne Basic homes. Most places have a variety of prices. There are homes for 150k dollars and homes for 25million dollars. 150k home is about 1k a month. That is doable to most adults. Can they afford the 600k home right away? No but it's a start and that's the entire point.

@JohnCobraOne Boomer era as you call it didn't involve half million+ dollar luxury homes in the suburbs on a single income entry level job. They were for the most part pretty basic homes in not the best areas.
