Entry level jobs were never meant to support a family of five indefinitely. That's the problem with the endless minimum wage increases.
They were designed to get high school and college kids some work experience and money for things like a car payment or food

There are strong arguments against the TFW program.
But it doesn't come without a tradeoff.
It means your restaurant meal, your Tim Hortons coffee, your....just about everything, will become more expensive.

I don’t think one can live a dignified life in Canada on $500/month. Our call is in line with disability justice activists, who are demanding $2150/month, closer to the pandemic-era CERB. But yes, @princessrott, disconnecting the CDB from the tax credit is essential.

To all the people that are upset or commenting on my post about litter on Hwy 17 in NW Ontario. Kale here understands the significance. This area is sparsely populated and the bulk of the trash along 17 comes from traffic, and the bulk of that traffic is commercial trucking!
