Every economic advisor on the planet has warned of the apocalyptic dangers of an energy crisis like what we are about to experience because of this war with Iran. This war, which Trump ultimately entered into of his own volition, is for the sole benefit of Israel. Period. Which is why Benjamin Netanyahu came to the US a record SIX times in Trump’s first year back in order to sell it to Trump. Idk what Finkelstein’s end game is here but this is highly suspect commentary.

But no, a dumb administration performing the caricature to perfection does not validate the extreme left’s decades-long cartoon of America as nothing but oil/imperialism/profit. The US played a central role in defeating totalitarianism, building the liberal order that has kept Europe safe and prosperous, and delivering far better outcomes than the alternatives the far left excused.
