@FoodProfessor A tiny warming of Canada is terrifyingly humongous and needs a whole of government response.

We’re starting to hear more about this... UN's IPCC now acknowledging most apocalyptic climate scenarios are considered increasingly implausible — meaning many of the fear-driven climate narratives over the last 15 years may need to be toned down. dailysceptic.org/2026/05/05/ipc…

While U.K.'s PM Starmer is facing growing pressure to resign amid a sluggish U.K. economy, PM Carney’s popularity is at a record high — despite Canada arguably being in worse shape on several key metrics, including unemployment, productivity, private-sector growth, and food inflation. Wonder why...

Outgoing Governor General Mary Simon: "We know that Indigenous languages are not part of the Official Languages Act, but to me they are just as important as English and French ... every day there are languages across the country that are being lost. To me that's not something we should just ignore. I think we need to do more for Indigenous languages."

@LexsWorld @CPC_HQ You deny the existence of an entire population, and you call me the ‘dumbass’?!? There are literally hundreds of thousands of Indigenous people in this country; any one of whom, I’m sure, would be happy to teach you about First Nations history and culture.

When a Conservative Party @CPC_HQ Member of Parliament can’t do something as simple as a land acknowledgement, it tells you everything you need to know about this party’s stance on First Nations people. #FirstNations #cdnpoli

Interesting how Canadian media largely ignored this new climate scenarios paper published by mainstream climate scientists (Link below). The study doesn’t deny climate change, but it does acknowledge that some of the extreme warming pathways heavily used for years are now viewed as less plausible. That matters enormously for energy policy, agriculture, food security, infrastructure, and affordability debates. Instead of discussing how climate modelling assumptions are evolving, we continue to get simplistic “net zero at all costs” narratives. Science is supposed to evolve. Public debate should too.

@edwardcurrent Respectfully disagree. No one is born racist… so at one point everyone who is a racist, became so through external influences.

Anyone else scroll through Facebook from time to time and ask themselves, were so many of my high school classmates always this racist… or did it happen after they left and went out into the world… 🤔

@JeromeAdamsMD I expected as I scrolled through your profile that you would be a big racist yourself. I was wrong. I see no evidence of that. Good afternoon

The collapse of trust in science is going to go down in history as one of the most sad, bizarre, and destructive social contagions of modern times. We fed billions, cured diseases and powered nations - yet people ran toward conspiracies instead.

I am very pleased to announce that, on my recommendation, His Majesty has approved the appointment of the Honourable Louise Arbour as the 31st Governor General of Canada. Across more than five decades, she gave voice to those whose dignity was denied, held institutions to account, and changed lives through her service. As Canada’s next Governor General, Louise Arbour will represent the best of Canada to our citizens and to the world — a Canada clear-eyed about the challenges we face, and steadfast in the values we uphold.

She’s not wrong, any reasonable person accepts that Canada has a racist past in its treatment of indigenous people, and that importantly the country has changed for the better over time. What’s amusing is that some in her own campaign orbit and the conservatives she’s aligned with seem to think the smart play is to deny that basic reality altogether, and that elections can be won on that basis.

@CanadianCoffey Radiation is feared. Thorium is a naturally occurring radioactive element commonly found as a byproduct of mining rare earth elements (REEs), particularly in monazite sands. It is often considered a hazardous waste product requiring specialized storage.

This is why Carney and Canada are playing the long game. We won’t make a deal for the sake of making a deal. We will deal from a position of strength. Trump is well on his way to proving exactly how much the US needs Canada. Canada has an abundance of rare earth minerals.
