Well, @jk_rowling is absolutely right! Almost every child goes through some kind of identity crisis during puberty. It is deeply wrong to make them permanently infertile with “puberty blockers”. If they still wish to transition as adults, provided they are fully informed of the risks, they can then make decisions as consenting adults.

@kaiya_rosalia @MensNetwork1 And I notice that it's usually activists (LGBTQ, feminists, animal rights, etc) who's go to response is to use offensive language. No wonder surveys suggest that trans phobia is on the rise. Keep it civil and allow people to learn from the exchange.

1/ Conversion Legislation must deal with the fact 80-90% of youth at medical gender services are same-sex attracted. We cannot have a well intentioned law that accidentally criminalises Doctors who ask why this is the case. We cannot have gay conversion 2.0.

@kaiya_rosalia @MensNetwork1 Now, you see, a truly trans person can never be persuaded. Decades of brutal gay conversion therapies didn't stop a single man from being attracted to another man. Where not talking about stopping people from transitioning, just giving them breathing space.

What's the "right choice" for an adult who wakes up one morning and "realises" they are trans? The right choice is the right choice for that person ands sometimes the person needs guidance to make sure.
