@DariusBearVT I do sell addons / games. In those situations I prefer not to use AI unless needed. It's hard not to accept code help. I feel less bad cause my code is mostly based on FOSS license. Images / 3D models are more of a legal area not worth using, as those are the fun side of dev Lol

@DariusBearVT I'm on the edge with ChatGPT. It's a super fast tool to help get concepts working faster, but it does affect your mind in negative ways. I grew up doing everything myself but then AI came along & now I fight the urge to ask AI to do what I want for me. The danger is real

Is it crazy that I just…don’t use AI? Like I’ve never had ChatGPT write anything for me, I don’t create AI images or videos, I do all my own research, never asked Grok for anything I’m just afraid of losing the ability to think critically so I avoid it

@DariusBearVT That said I've updated old Blender 2.79 addons to blender 3.6 using AI. Not perfect and took a number of manual changes that would have taken me months vs a week. In Godot gdscript / editor plugins have been nice. It's not great on it's own but with guidance can be ok

@SGS__Games That's true :) You should see the 35-ish tech demos I have behind the scenes. I'm really trying my best to deliver something fun eventually xD My goal was never to stop at 2 games, but to diversify on multiple games for a long time. I just hope my heart can take the feedback

Just a little reminder to all Gamers... Not every developer is a AAA multi-million budge, 100+ employee company. Some of us are single devs, working 60+ hours a week on these games. Some or most working jobs at the same time. We wake up way too early. We spend very little leisure time all to build something we are passionate about that hopefully someone will enjoy for less than the cost of a single fast food meal. When you leave a review or email about something, please keep in mind we are not mindless robots doing a job we don't like for a company that pays too little. Please be respectful and understanding.

As an Indie Game Dev I hate seeing malicious developers like this. We have a responsibility to make sure our games don't hurt gamers. The end result is paranoia & fear. Stay safe, & have fun playing actual games that aren't made by jerks. youtu.be/vq__yP1fPCI

@SGS__Games I'm trying my best to improve. Needed to take a step back & rest. Worked long hours for many years so the feedback wasn't what I hoped for. That said it helped improve my games. Stay strong too, we'll make it eventually :)

@SGS__Games As an indie game dev struggling to find passion with my games after negative steam reviews on both, I feel your pain. There's always someone out there that will hate something they think could have been easily changed, but in reality they have no clue of the complexity involved.

@Phantom_TheGame For me the situation might be unique. At the time my company founded we already had multiple games in development. We have 2 released games, with 3 others in development. $500 put into Steam, with 2 games that roughly earned $130-ish each. No pay yet.

@JohnMuellerTMG They pay out if you earn more than $100 that month I believe. I pay 30% fee, 20-something% tax, and VAT depending on where the buyer lives (we technically don't pay VAT, but it is deducted from the full price. VAT in Norway is 25% lol)

Thank you Ton Roosendaal for making sure Blender continued to develop not only as software but as a community of amazing talented developers & artists. Without blender I wouldn't be able to do what I can today with friends I never would have known without ya'll.

Ever wanted to reorder your UV Maps? I just learned how to override draw methods in Blender's UI so I added the much sought after Move up/Move down buttons to the UV Maps panel! 😊 I won't seem much to the coding wizards but it's very exciting to me. #b3d #blender3d #blender

I've been working on making a Star Trek Generations Type2 Phaser. Getting fairly close to a version I'm happy with but some areas that could still be improved. (If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear it so I can improve further)

@Blender @godotengine @StarTrek Sadly godot does fallback to a lower quality / limited rendering system for the HTML5 embed. If you want the full experience you'll need the Linux / Windows builds which enables decals & dynamic AO / SDFGI. For the most part this is just a walking simulator currently.
