@CarlOldOlsen @IamMagenWinn @RepThomasMassie Not true. As the article Massie linked to shows, 54% of murders take place in 2% of the counties and 2/3rds of those murders take place within 10 block areas with in those counties. How many people do you think live within those 10 block areas.

Simply false about shootings.
If you take mass public school shootings since 2000, there were 9 mass public school shootings in the US & 3 in Germany, but the US has 4 times the population, so that would be the equivalent on 12 in Germany. Finland has 2, but 5.5 million ppl.
Mass public shootings generally show the US is well below the average for countries.

@zack_gilbert 1) There is little difference in professors at the different universities because their faculties all come from the same departments.
2) Students might have some idea of the biases, but I feel pretty strongly that they don’t know the extent of the bias.

@JohnRLottJr Graduated from two state universities, long time ago, in one conservative state and one liberal state. Wasn't true that, "students (had) no idea..." Ag, engr, business students were aware of the bias and spoke of it continually, and was the case at both universities.

As someone who has spent much of his lifetime in academia, this seems pretty obviously true & it is a real problem. Students have no idea how biased their profs are. Students are lucky to get through the assigned readings let alone find what the strongest arguments are on the other side.

Your median professor sits so far left that AOC, Sanders, and Warren would count as moderates in any faculty lounge. Faculty from 55 elite universities form one towering blue spike of ideology far out on the left, density exploding past 6, with virtually nothing on the conservative side. This was built through decades of selective hiring, social enforcement, and the systematic purge of dissent. And because they credential the people who run media, law, government, and tech, the monoculture leaks into every elite institution downstream.

How the US crime rate compares to other countries. Comparisons are made using just the crime rate reported to the police & not the total crime rate, ignoring that most crimes aren't reported to police & the reported rate is much lower in other countries.

As to Turkey, there are negotiations going on there to move Turkey completely away from Russia and China in exchange for letting them have a version of the F35s. If Turkey doesn’t agree, they won’t get them.
