The Uganda Olympic Committee congratulates National Rowing Coach Batenga Nakisozi on completing the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program (ICECP).
She delivered her final presentation in Lausanne to World Rowing and the International Olympic Committee, presenting a national talent identification framework for rowing in Uganda - a system designed to grow the sport from grassroots to elite level.
Supported by the Uganda Olympic Committee through International Olympic Committee Olympic Solidarity, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, and the University of Delaware, the program equips coaches to drive lasting impact.
A proud moment for Uganda and a major step forward for rowing.

ANCIENT GARMENTS!
In the #Owanapaedia museum is this T-shirt I received from @kibirigedean, when he was managing @StartvUganda about 12 years ago!
Did anyone else at @ubctvuganda also keep?😁

English

@JohnSENTAMU2 @ubctvuganda @jnantu You already have what it takes.
I don't remember you asking for leave when you were circumcised. You just donned a kanzu and continued working!😁
Am I mistaken?

At first I thought @ubctvuganda driver Sebi Mwanje could only drive vehicles but I soon discovered his skills with the trusty PD-170 camera and we did thiiiings!👍

In #SpecialSittingUg to commemorate the late Hon. @nakimuli_helen, who was a great sportswoman, I moved a motion that the Parliamentary Commission deducts Shs500,000 from each Member of @Parliament_Ug to support the education of the late Hon. Nakimuli's daughter.
My motion was unanimously adopted by the whole House.
May her soul rest in eternal peace and may God strengthen her family and friends.

Dear Mum,
I write this letter with a heart full of gratitude for the role you played in my life. Though you are no longer with us, your love, care, and guidance continue to live in me every day.
Thank you for raising me and standing by me as a mother. You may have been my stepmother, but you embraced me with true love and treated me as your own. Your kindness, patience, and sacrifices shaped the person I am today.
I will always remember the lessons you taught me, the support you gave me, and the warmth you brought into our home. You were more than a parent—you were a pillar in my life.
I may not have said it enough when you were here, but I am deeply thankful for everything you did for me. Your impact will never fade, and I will carry your values with me always.
Rest peacefully, Mum Nabanja Facy. You will forever remain in my heart.
With love and appreciation,
Geofrey Mugerwa

@Sanyuka_Prime @ham_kisekka @AldrineLive Happy Birthday to him but the rate at which we are wrongly using sports to mean football is so worrying.
Football journalist is appropriate for him and not sports that generalizes yet he seems to be particular.
