Great news! @AP report out saying @nickut took "Napalm Girl" photo after documentary said he didn't. "AP has concluded that there is not the definitive evidence required by AP’s standards to change the credit of the 53-year-old photograph." @mikebarnicle

@patrickwitty @AnselAdamsTrust This is actually a 4x5 Polaroid test print of Ansel’s favorite image (which is very similar) from is photographic session with President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter. I assisted Ansel on this project, and carried this print in my coat pocket after Ansel carefully reviewed it.

Generative AI has a consent problem. Ansel's rights have been getting trampled both on the input side, and on the output side. It's worse than copyright infringement; it's identity theft.
