Trump is utterly disgusting. Surely we cannot be far from the time when King Charles refuses to be involved in Trump’s attempts to use a significant 🇺🇸 anniversary for his own ends. Just take today - for a US President to say “I’m glad he’s dead” of a man who has devoted his life to public service is beyond vile. And his endorsement of Orban (farewell any notion of not interfering in other countries’ politics) puts him in the Putin camp once more, furthering the risk to Ukraine. Add in the endless insults of @Keir_Starmer and I really think the time has come for the 👑 to follow the Pope in being otherwise engaged .

Solidarity with those who are victims of Islamophobia and all forms of religious and racial hatred.
We have to stand up and call out Islamophobia whoever is promoting it.
No politician advocating Islamophobia or any racial or religious hatred can be regarded as respectable. Their behaviour is unacceptable.

It’s exhausting having to challenge the relentless barrage of hate and misinformation from politicians and pundits about Muslims. For them, it’s become a lucrative industry. For us, it’s the safety of our family and friends being put at risk.

Good news. This road is one of worst in the county for potholes.

From 8am Monday Sheep Lane will be closed to fix potholes. The road from the A5 Flying Fox roundabout to Woburn is finally to be surfaced after four months of us all having to dodge those terrible potholes. Closed 8am - 6pm from Mon 23 March to no later than Wed 1 April.

Within just 48 hours of the Tories refusing to sack Nick Timothy for his Islamophobic comments, the far-right is circulating a list of MPs “of foreign descent” trying to “silence” him. This is what happens when racism is normalised from the top: democratically elected representatives being told that we shouldn't be allowed to make decisions here at all, and even that we should leave the country. It’s a racist attack on our very democracy. Will Nick and his party condemn it?

Nick wasn’t criticising Islam he was arguing for Muslims to be excluded from the right to freedom of speech , expression and religion that every other community in our country enjoys
He was targeting people not a religion
And the PM rightly felt that was unacceptable and sackable - I agree.
Nick would have been sacked by Thatcher and Major and numerous former Conservative PMs

I’m not convinced Muslim prayer in Trafalgar Square is an act of dominance. Islam is hardly unique in considering itself the one true religion.. But the fact the PM thinks Nick Timothy should be sacked undermines the claim we are all free to criticise Islam despite the new anti-Muslim hostility definition.

The evidence is overwhelming: Brexit has been a disaster for London and the UK.
Rejoining the EU is now clearly in our national interest. The option to rejoin should be on the ballot at the next General Election.
