Grizzled Skippers, Perran Sands, Cornwall. My first ever sightings of this small butterfly and boy, they’re difficult to see, especially when they land amongst the dried grasses. @Cornwall_BC @savebutterflies #WildCornwall #butterflies

Most years I ask for one thing for my birthday, to see #BeeEaters and usually it's on the Camargue But this year we've not been able to travel abroad so when news came out of 13 Bee eaters near Eccles in #Norfolk I had to go V distant so this was best I could do but v happy 🥂🎉

🚨 Exclusively male migrants launch boat from Dunkirk This comes as 900 entered the UK over the weekend, illegal and unvetted. France is working to ruin us, as multiple boats have been sighted in the Channel this morning. Our own Border Force is ruining us too with their devastating open border policy. This is nothing short of an invasion and a national emergency, and yet our political class, let alone the French, keep refusing to act!

Chiff chaff signing away in Langley moor, wiveliscombe this morning. Also singing were willow warblers and blackcaps. Expectng whitethroats to return any day. Resident Cettis have gone quiet. Last year grasshopper, reed and sedge were all heard from the same spot @somersetbirds

Decent seawatch off Burnham over HT with @WanderingBirder : 3 Arctic Skuas, 2 Sandwich Terns the best. Lesser Scaup, 3 Gtr Scaup, and LRP Cheddar, Wheatear Tealham Moor, then this pm over to Ember Combe for good views of male Ring Ouzel, one of 5 found earlier by @Exmoorbirder
